Pricing not updated from the menu online vs in-store. This is huge pet peeve of mine and usually I would leave after realizing I’ve been mislead but decided to stay because it was convenient to where I am staying. The total price increase was 9 dollars higher from the menu on the company’s website. This prevented me from ordering a 3rd item which ultimately is a loss for the business. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a BBQ place. The Pork BBQ sandwich was good, my side of macaroni and cheese I would not order again, it was a mix between bland and yet still had an off taste. The fried dill pickles were delicious and I would order them again. The fountain drink for $3.25 served in a plastic to go cup pre stuffed with your lid straw and plastic silverware is a bit off putting. The staff were present but I world have lined to see a bit more enthusiasm from the young women behind the counter but this was not a deal breaker as she was knowledgeable and quick. Overall I’m not sure I would come back but I wouldn’t scratch this place off my list. It’s not a must but it’s not a no. Advice, update your menu on your website to reflect your current pricing.

Route 60's take on Texas style bbq is o.k. and not too bad. I am a Texas boy, born and raised. I completely understand I will never get the flavor profile I grew up with, but I have been to a few places that come pretty close... this place does not. The smoked brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken and sausage were pretty tasty though. The smoke profile is VERY light you almost can not taste it. Bark on the brisket is almost non-existent as well. I was very surprised the brisket came with a light layer of bbq sauce on it as Texas style brisket will NEVER come covered in sauce. The beans were standard boiled pinto beans with very little seasoning or flavor. I had very high hopes for this bbq joint as the menu leads you to believe this would be Texas style bbq and it sadly was not. With that said, the bbq was not horrible, but it was not at the level I was expecting either. If you ever had Texas bbq before, this is NOT the restaurant for you. If you like local type bbq, then you may enjoy this restaurant.

My son and I have been here for the past two weeks in Williamsburg, we’ve been trying restaurants all over and tonight is our last meal here in. We decided to order food from this establishment and I am so happy that we did. We got the cheese curds as an appetizer then for our meals, we got the chicken dinner with the fries and macaroni and cheese. I wanna start with this dinner first; the fries or so well seasoned I don’t know how else to say that, but they were nothing like I’ve ever had before, the chicken was not for me, but my son thought it was delicious, I’m a self I’m not a BBQ person so I can’t write that but the mac & cheese phenomenal. It’s white cheddar mac & cheese, and it is absolutely delicious. We also got the pulled pork Carnitas with the mac & cheese. When I tell you, this food was amazing you better run.

I visited on an early Sunday evening to get a relatively quick meal before heading back home after a long weekend in Williamsburg. A handful of customers were ahead of me in line, so I thought I could get in and out in a fair time which turned out to be correct. The online menu offered a chuck roast which I was told was not in the menu since they stopped serving that protein after re-opening recently. I pivoted to a classic pulled pork sandwich along with a fried catfish platter with pinto beans and collard greens for sides. I added some peach cobbler as an impulse buy. They do not have unsweetened iced tea to which I am accustomed at other places. These folks know their meats! The hot sandwich had enough pork for a sandwich and a half, was properly sauced, and had great flavor and juiciness. A great value in and of itself. The hot catfish had good crunch and seasoning from the coating and a moist, flaky fish to enjoy. Portions are generous, so again great value! The two sides were thankfully not over seasoned with good taste. A greater quantity would be appreciated. The cornbread lacked the buttery corn flavor I like and was a touch sweet for my taste. The cobbler at the end needed more time in the skillet/oven before serving and again a slightly bigger portion for the money. Service was friendly and helpful for ordering and serving. The person who took my order checked on me as I was finishing to assure I had a good experience. All in all I would absolutely go back for more savory offerings from this place and encourage others to...

I really hate to write this post and even waited until the next day to collect my thoughts before sharing. My mom asked for BBQ, so we decided to come here. While the food itself was tasty, the experience was overshadowed by something that should never happen in a dining area.

During our meal, I noticed a very large roach moving through the dining room. I immediately brought it to the attention of a server, who ended up killing it. What concerned me most was the lack of urgency or concern from the staff—it felt as though this was not an unusual occurrence. Another diner near me, who hadn’t even taken a bite of his food yet, pushed his plate aside and asked to leave. The server’s response to him came across as dismissive, almost as if to say, “what’s the problem?”

The reality is, if there’s a roach that large in the dining room, it raises questions about where else they might be. To make matters worse, when I left, I mentioned the issue directly to someone who appeared to be a manager or owner. His reaction was surprisingly nonchalant. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the seriousness of the situation, and no kind gesture extended to try to make things right.

While my mom and I still paid for our meal, I walked away feeling very disappointed. Cleanliness and customer care are non-negotiable in the restaurant business, and unfortunately both...

This place was awesome. The person working the cash register was super friendly and welcomed me after asking if it was my first time there (which it was). After ordering, my food came out really quick. I got the Platter #1 which came with a meat and 2 sides. The 1 lb pork was really good, and the Mac and cheese and route 60 fries were phenomenal. The fries were actually the best part of my meal. They were really crisp and fresh. I also ordered an order of 1/2 lb of brisket, which was also delicious. They provided numerous buns for the meal and their sauce on the side was also great.

A few improvements I’d like to see. The sauce was pre-provided on the meats, which I felt took away from the taste of the meat itself. Still good, but I felt the sauce on the side was enough. Also, the menu platters are difficult to determine what actually comes with the order. As a new customer, the menu was very overwhelming with the way it was organized. Last but not least, if smoked flavor is what they’re going for, which I believe it is, I’d have the meats smoked a little bit longer, and the moistness of the pulled pork come strictly from the smoker. It had the flavor of a Texas style bbq, but the texture of Nc style bbq.

Overall, a really good restaurant. I look forward to...
