Where do I begin? Before we even sat down at our table we could see a group at another table complaining to manager about their meals but thought nothing of it. Our first encounter with waiter was "drinks?" Did not say anything else. We ordered two rolls of sushi and they were very yummy, but that was the only positive I can say about our experience. Husband and I both ordered medium-rare steak hibachi, ordered my toddler a chicken hibachi, and my father ordered a medium steak hibachi dinner. We had one other group sitting at our table. The chef was very friendly but we immediately noticed the amount of food he was cooking would not suffice 5 adults and 3 children. Our drinks remained empty for fifteen minutes. Waiter was never around. Even though I ordered my daughter a children's hibachi dinner ($11) she was not given the soup or rice it came with. The waiter said he did not know what the children's hibachi dinner came with. We read the menu so luckily we did. The vegetable portion we were all given at table was literally the size of a tablespoon. The steak was a decent portion but served very well done and dry. The rice was cold at that point and veggies were already gone so we literally had dry steak and cold rice left to eat once the chef was done cooking. They forgot my daughter's rice. Not service you expect with a $11 child's meal! I do not typically complain, but at almost $25 a meal one expects a decent hot meal with an appropriate portion. The group sitting across from us was all done and leaving at this point. I heard the husband tell their waiter they would have to go to McDonalds across the street to fulfill their appetite. My family was ready to leave at this point as the food was just beyond bland and not worth eating. We took our time to get our jackets on and slowly walked towards the door. It took a long time for them to ring up our bill which was over $100. I immediately handed the bill back and said I honestly did not feel like I owed $100 for food we couldn't even finish it was so terrible and we only got a refill on our drinks at the end. I told the lady I would gladly pay half as that is all we ate before we couldn't bare it any longer. She told me no so I said to just take one meal off the bill so we could hurry up and leave. We had been standing by bar waiting to pay for almost ten minutes at this point. All they ended up doing was taking one dinner off the bill. Worst restaurant experience in Williamsburg I have ever had. I will never go back and do not recommend...
Read moreIf you're looking for a traditional hibachi style restaurant, THIS IS NOT THE SPOT. Let's see where should I start đ€.... 1. Food is subpar: I've been to many classic hibachi style restaurants and walked away with my stomach full and with plenty of leftovers to eat the next day.
Not only was the food subpar, the cook gave us ZERO show. We were out of town and it was our sons 1st time having hibachi. The only show we received was him getting squirt in the face with sake...im sorry, I mean waterđŠđł
After finishing our meal, we discussed the poor service with a family that we shared the table with. The family shared our same sentiments and stated that they would leave a terrible review as well.
Atmosphere: TRASH. The only draw is the Koi pond outside. (Not to mention the water was murky, and the Koi fish seem to never make it to the juvenile stage đ I digressed....) The restrooms were so disgusting, my son and daughter decided to hold their bladder vs entering the br stalls. Our entire party questioned the cleanliness of the silverware.
Service: Now, if the food wasnt mehhh enough, the service was even worse đ”âđ« My husband and I took a few sips of our drinks and decided that we wanted to replace them. Our server said we couldn't change them out, so we requested to speak with a manager. Server flat out stated, "No, the manager is cooking and can't come out... " We asked a 2nd server and was provided the same answer đł NO ONE was able to remedy the situation or fix our experience...
Again, if youre looking for a nice spot for dinner or any other meal... THIS IS NOT IT. TURN AROUND WHILE YOU...
Read moreMe and my partner were sat at a hibachi table and all of a sudden an entire group of teenagers were sat at our table. Kinda weird. I wish we would have been informed about this arrangement or asked if we still want to sit at that table with a group, but there are a limited amount of chefs so I guess I understand. Anyways, we asked nicely if we could sit at a different table and we were met with a ton of attitude. Our server said very loudly âwe canât sit you at a different table.â She did not give us any other options and it really seemed like she was trying to embarrass us/dismiss us. We then asked again if we could sit at a different table and it doesnât have to be a hibachi table it can be at a dining table. Then you could tell she was annoyed and kinda rolled her eyes a bit and said âwell the chef is almost out and youâll be getting a different server anywayâ. (It was around 6 pm). We said thatâs fine so she went to go seat us and as she was bringing us she was complaining to the owner how we need a new server and the owner made her continue serving us anyway. From that point on she kept giving us dirty looks and giving short answers to us whenever we had a question. For example we asked if we could get a sushi menu and she gave the DIRTIEST look I have ever seen and said âyeahâŠâ. Itâs really unfortunate because the food was perfect and all the other employees were nice but our server ruined the whole...
