Boba Heaven Willowbrook — Restaurant in Willowbrook

I’ve been to this boba shop before and had decent experiences, but what happened on Saturday night (8/2) was completely unacceptable. I walked in and ordered two medium taro freeze drinks with tapioca, zero sugar. Simple enough — or so I thought.

First, the kid at the front register couldn’t have been more disengaged. Zero eye contact, no greeting, and clearly had no interest in providing even basic customer service. It felt like we were inconveniencing him just by being there.

Then we got our drinks… and I honestly thought it was a mistake. Both were only about two-thirds full, definitely not what you expect for drinks that cost over $10 each. On top of that, the order was completely wrong — they weren’t taro freezes at all (not blended), and instead of being sugar-free like we asked, it was sickeningly sweet. A hundred percent sugar, not even close to what we ordered.

For a $25 order, this was an absolute letdown. I’ve been a customer before and never had this kind of experience. Management needs to take a hard look at how their team is handling orders and customers. If this is the new standard, I won’t be coming back — and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone...

I love this place! The staff are so friendly and welcoming! Unfortunately, I feel like the drinks could be better. The brown sugar boba was very bland. The boba/tapioca part was REALLY good, though.
