This is a nice family owned local community restaurant with very good quality sushi.  My new favorite place for all U can eat, beautiful tasty 🍣  $25.  Fair prices, great food, good service. Try the hot Sake for $7.  Very large selection of rolls, sushi, sashimi beer & saki.

Very nice owner, staff and experience.  Even some live entertainment watching the staff at the sushi bar quarreling with each other and having fun joking around.  This is a nice family owned local community restaurant.

Celebrate a special occasion, dine out for a casual lunch, or call ahead for takeout; they serve your favorite Japanese staples and they take our name seriously. Fresh, flavorful dishes are highlighted by the highest quality ingredients that all sushi connoisseurs crave.   Oishi Sushi serves fresh and refined Japanese cuisine to Greater Chicagoland. If you’re craving fresh sushi for your lunch or dinner… you’ve arrived at your gourmet destination.

Oishi Restaurant opened its doors in Willowbrook with a mission to deliver the highest quality Japanese cuisine, valued fairly and delivered with friendly service in a unique environment. It’s the culmination of much planning and hard work by the owners. Oishi, pronounced O-EE-SHEE, is a Japanese word that means “delicious.” They take the name to heart, preparing fresh, flavorful dishes with the finest ingredients and a striking presentation. Coupled with their excellent service and refined yet casually modern ambience, Oishi goes from a simple Japanese word to an outstanding dining experience. They large variety of the freshest and highest quality fish is sure to impress. Oishi offers everything from staples like salmon (sake), tuna (maguro), and yellowtail (hamachi) to rarer specialties like sea urchin (uni) and fatty tuna (toro). Not in the mood for sushi? No problem. They have a full range of lunch and dinner entrees from favorites like tempura and teriyaki to traditional-style Japanese hotpots like sukiyaki and yosenabe, their diverse menu truly has something...

Mouth watering, delicious, all you can eat sushi buffet. I've been coming here once a week for the past year. Personally, I usually eat about 25 rolls. The staff are polite and efficient.

TIPS Come here when you're hungry. You'll lose money if you don't. Try to limit the amount of the free edame you consume. It will take up space in your stomach best reserved for the sushi. Wait times for each order is about 10 minutes when it's not crowded. It is more time efficient to order more than 5 rolls at a time rather than ordering every time you finish 5 rolls. Wait times can balloon 30 minutes or more when the place is packed (like during dinner rush). I usually bring a tablet so I won't be bored out of my mind while waiting for my order to arrive. Wait times are very low at 1130 am when they just opened. They will charge you extra for every roll you don't eat. I totally agree with this policy. They lose money with every uneaten roll. I don't understand people who complain when they get charged extra for food they wasted. If you're new to sushi, figure out what you like by ordering one of every kind. This was how I figured out I love eel rolls, shrimp tempura rolls, and fish egg rolls. You can ask for a bottle of the specific sauce used for your rolls to be placed on your table so you can add more to your roll if you wish. Not all of the sushi rolls will be available on the lunch or dinner buffet menu. Some of them can only be...

The sushi was ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (good, but not great), but the environment was ⭐. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt and assuming this was mostly because it was a Saturday afternoon and it's not always so crowded, but it wholly lacked the usual "sushi restaurant ambience" I prefer; to be fair, I generally go to sushi places as a date, rather than with friends, the latter situation probably being much better suited to a place like this.

Between screaming babies and a maskless woman sneezing her head off in my direction without even covering her face, it felt more like an IHOP on a Sunday morning then what I'd expect at a sushi restaurant. The aesthetic of the restaurant itself is also more "IHOP" than most sushi places (white walls, well lit, adorned with pictures of sushi and either a giant swordfish or blue marlin model mounted on the wall -- whichever it is, I'm unconvinced it's on the menu, lol).

If I still lived in the area, I might try back here again at a quieter time, but I live almost an hour away. Rather than driving so far for a mediocre experience again, unfortunately I think I will be sticking with closer,...

The place was pretty empty upon walking in around 7:45-8 pm on a Wed night. Service was great. We did the ayce menu for $26.99. Was it worth $26.99? It was pretty unexceptional. I love sushi and I eat sushi from grocery stores all the way to Michelin level. - Miso soup - 5/5 hard to mess up - Japanese fried chicken - 2/5 it was okay. Didn’t really taste like Japanese fried chicken that I had at countless places. - calamari tempura - 1/5 tasteless without the sauce - rolls - 1/5 - honestly I forgot what I ordered. They weren’t memorable and the rice tasted very off. It didn’t taste like typical sushi rice. I would not recommend anyone order the sushi because it is that abysmal. -“sushi” section - 5/5 this is the only saving grace and this is why I gave them 3 stars instead of 1. I ordered the fresh salmon, seabass, tilapia, shrimp, fresh water eel, sweet egg, craw fish salad, masago. Next time, if I come here I’ll only order from this section and the appetizers. Overall, this place should be skipped and you’re better off making the drive to Arlington Heights to get some exceptional sushi.

This is our first and probably our last time at this Oishi Sushi in Willowbrook. Even though everything was fine it was just not that good. It is probably a 3.5 review but not quite a 4 star. Slices of fish was small and yet the rice was huge and very sour. Like they over indulged the rice in rice vinegar so all I tasted was sour rice with fish. Not really great. For the amount of money I paid which was $19.99 for lunch for ACYE, I can probably go somewhere else. It was just an okay experience for me. Service was ok because they didn't bring some of sushi we ordered and gave us something else that we didn't order. The best part was probably the ambiance which is darker than most sushi place and it is a bit romantic. But not something I will visit again.
