My last review was taken down in 24 hours so I am re-posting with more of a safe space for the easily offended. Someone is going hard on the reputation manager.
I came to eat here with my autistic son. There was an elderly woman waiting on us. I asked for 2 country steaks and some hash browns, and she ( the woman with bad dental hygiene and purple hair ) reacted with her inability to place any order that wasn't written out for her on the menu, so I found a menu item and asked to make some switches. She did a good job of making me feel how much of an inconvenience I was being with my very basic order of things they offer on their menu just in a different configuration. then She tripped ( no fall no harm ) on my Autistic sons foot that was slightly protruding from under the table ( I explained why he needs to keep his feet in, he agreed and ask if she should watch where she was walking, I agreed ) the spun around, pointed her finger in his face and scolded him " you need to keep your feet under the table" ( my sons mixed race as well, I cant help but feel this was part of the issue )
the manager came, I said it was fine and wanted to avoid any issues, we just wanted to eat our meal, pay and leave, but as I was checking out I felt it was my responsibility to stick up for my son, so I stopped the manager on the way out and asked to explain the situation. Mid explanation the manager stops me says " i wish you would have told me at the table instead of in front of all these people" and pulled me aside to finish. ( HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT ALL THESEEEEE PEOPLE? ) When I finished explaining, instead of a simple apology, the manager started making excuses for the waitress, "shes older, and tripped before and broke her wrist so that may be why" then began to apologize to my son. I interjected, politely said "If that's your stance on customer service I wont bring my family and friends back here again" paid my bill and no tipped the lady for the trouble.
The foods good, but if you go and your waitress is 70, with a bad dye job and rotten teeth, politely ask for another waitress. After sharing on social media a lot of friends and family have shared similar interactions. This doesn't seem like a 1...
Read moreI wasn’t going to leave a low rated review but after giving the restaurant three tries for a good experience, here’s my conclusion. My wife and I had a great first experience, food was fantastic, came out fast and had no issue with our server! Of course we wanted to revisit ! But the second time wasn’t really up to par, I had ordered a Swiss and mushroom omelette and I received it with no Swiss, instead it was American. The waitress had assumed that I would want American because it was cheaper but I ordered the Swiss and mushroom omelette for those ingredients 😭. It had got sent back and came out a second time with American. At this point I didn’t really want to send it back a third time but I wasn’t going to eat it. My wife had spoke up for me and ultimately it had again came back incorrect. After that the waitress took it off our check and we weren’t happy because we were looking forward to having a great experience like the first. The third and last time we went, food came out fast which was nice but our breakfast potatoes were ice cold and our toast was just soggy bread. Our waitress Olivia was nice of course (with our past experience we didn’t want to go through the trouble of getting things remade, you could imagine why) but not knowing that getting the cubed breakfast potatoes were an up charge until we went to pay, my wife had said something about the things wrong with the meal with the young girl at the check out stand and she didn’t even look us in the eyes and gave us a nasty skulk. After that we were infuriated and walked out. Deciding not to go to the establishment again.
Food is decent when cooked right and most of the waitresses are really nice! But overall conclusion...
Read moreMy husband and I order To-go from here all the time. Everytime we get home there’s always something missing or forgotten to be put in and bless my husband but he does not always check our order before leaving, we are not complainers so we never say anything we are just not bossy people and not to mention I’ve worked as a waitress before and I know what some folks do with complainers, well this evening was it for me in our order a few things were missing and my salad look like someone had thrown it across the room, so I returned it, explained the situation and asked for a refund because at this point I’ve had enough! The lady explained she couldn’t give me a refund but would give me a gift certificate, I did not want a Gift certificate I wanted my money back. The lady refused and offered me another meal and I politely declined. I just wanted my money back however I left without anything so they actually got about $13 from me. I’ll never be back there I felt after being a regular customers there wouldn’t be an issue. I’m sure if the original owner Gus was there he would have made it right, I’ll just get our to-go orders else where. Thanks...
