I like to visit a restaurant a few(2-3) times before I rate. So today was my 3rd time here. My first time was great, so I brought my family back the second time. We had an extremely nice waitress who really made the dine in AWESOME. Today I returned alone to pick up an order. Before ordering I asked the Cashier if the chicken tenders were fried really crunchy; if so, I did not want to order them. She said “no.” So I order the chicken tenders with fries and patiently waited 15 or so minutes for it to go. Thinking the food was great because it took a minute to be brought out to me; I didn’t check it. I just came back to the house hoping it was right. I get home the food is opened and all I see is disappointment after a long day. I look at the food and now I’m disappointed because I asked a clear question before ordering.
The chicken tenders were over cooked and EXTREMELY crunchy and you could tell the grease wasn’t changed by the look of the chicken and the fries.
So I return and politely let the cashier know that I want to order something else because that wasn’t acceptable. The owner tells the cashier that I can exchange it out. I take a moment to look at the menu and decide just to order a slice of pepperoni pizza. The cashier who is polite but seems new, says “okay” and slides a slice of pizza in the oven. She then tells the owner that I’m ordering a slice of pizza and would like the difference back and she wants to know how to go about doing so.
The owner comes up and seems to be upset that I’m not willing to pay $8+ for a slice of pizza. And the slice of pizza was only $2.50. So he raises his voice as if angry while explaining to the cashier the process, all while i remain humble and patiently wait. However, everyone is looking at me as if I have done something wrong. I didn’t even bring attention to the fact that I didn’t even receive the full refund back.
I explain all of that to say this. I loved this restaurant, it was new to me and I’ve suggested it to many people. But just this one experience today with the owner who is typically very friendly upset me. So no I won’t give a bad review but please remember even if you are upset as the owner; you can still stay respectful to someone who might I add, is still willing to spend money (no matter the amount) at your establishment. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A MUST!
Although upset by today’s experience, I still suggest...
Read moreWell...since my wife has attempted to persuade me to try a new pizza place near her work, I figured tonight would be a good time to accept her proposal. Let's just say that I thanked her afterward. Agostino's is a GEM! Your Pie, Pizzetta's, Elizabeth's & a few others....watch out. Tony & his team serves up some of the best pie I've tasted. I was surprised by the unexpected flavors & preparation of each slice. My wife ordered the chicken, bacon & ranch slice, I ordered the mushroom & cheese slice & our son ordered the standard cheese slice. The crisp and light crunch of the dough was beautiful. Each bite delivered the various flavors of the dough, which seemed to get better and better until the end. The cheese slice was wonderful & our son said it was better than his old favorite in Wilmington. Added some fresh grated parm also. But.....the STAR of this review is the CHICKEN, BACON & RANCH PIZZA SLICE!! It blew me away. I was expecting the bacon to possibly overpower the other ingredients & maybe cause the slice to be too salty, but it wasn't. You taste all of the flavors but it's perfectly balanced & will have you craving another bite. The only thing I would have asked for or changed to have made this a flawless visit, would have been to have slightly less pizza sauce on the mushroom & cheese slice. But this is only my opinion & me being picky. In summary, if you don't give Agostino's a shot, you are truly missing...
Read moreHuge relief to find this place. I've tried three pizza places around town and one word comes to mind for them... GARBAGE.
THIS PLACE AUTOMATICALLY RANKED HIGH DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY CARRY ZEPPOLES DESSERT! The pizza classic New York style / New Jersey style dough with the proper amount of sauce excellent amount of cheese and the pepperonis sweating the perfect amount of grease. Thank you for the warm familiar delicious pizza that provided one and a half days of food for me and my wife. For people on a budget like ourselves price was right on time. The food don't make me repeat myself, just go get it enjoy it and know that you'll be well taken care of by the staff inside who went above and beyond to make sure I got my food in a timely manner and they did so with like a cheerful disposition. Which you know I don't know if people tip or not want to go orders, I do not saying that they hustled for a $5 tip but a little bit goes a long way for people who got their hands on the food that you're looking to put in your belly. I recommend tipping and I recommend smiling because when you reciprocate that you make the world a better place just like this amazing pizza place. Thank you a...
