Walking into the establishment I should have prob turned around and went somewhere else. An older man walking into the place saw me coming in the door after him and purposely let the door close in my face. This happened twice. Not the restaurants fault but set a tone. Sat at the bar and was promptly greeted by the bartender. I needed a moment to look at the menu and she gave me ample time. Wine list is very basic. All the Chardonnay btg is Oaked and from Cali no real variety when it comes to the btg catagories. Being as it’s a seafood establishment I wouldn’t think it’s too much to ask to have a petite Chablis, a Sancerre, an Albariño , or an interesting white wine btg. I ordered the Albariño they have by the bottle. The wait staff looked around for the bottle for quite some time. The bartender came to me to tell me it’s by the bottle only. I knew that before ordering it but I guess she didn’t. They finally find the bottle and a guy who wasn’t the bartender was given the task of opening it. It was the most painful thing I’ve ever had to watch. He mentioned they trained him on how to properly open the bottle but he was going to do it his way because his way was easier. He struggled to cut the foil.once the foil was cut instead of turning the corkscrew to open the bottle he turned the bottle while the bottle sat atop the bar. Worst presentation I’ve ever witnessed. Oysters on the half shell were delicious! Ordered sea bass with two sides and I’ve literally never saw a smaller portion of sea bass. I get it’s a tough call with inflation and everything costing more. Maybe offer two portion sizes? I would have Gladly payed more for a bigger portion. Ordered the orange ginger glaze to go with it and the glaze was nearly tasteless. None the less the sea bass tasted very fresh and the old bay fried and vegetable medley all were very flavorful. Finished my glass of wine and the bartender never refilled the glass . I had to do it myself as she watched me pour my own wine. She asked “are you still doing okay” just as I finished pouring a glass. Im going to give them a pass right now on service because good help is extremely hard to come by but my experience was less than average and I more than likely will never be back. Only walked over from the Mercedes dealership because I was having my car serviced. Best part about my experience was a guy who was sitting at the bar smiling at me and telling me to have a good day as he walked out of the...
Read moreWOW that was terrible! The only nice thing I can say is that the staff was pleasant enough. We are a party of 4-2 kids and 2 adults. We arrive a little after 7:00 on a Saturday night and are promptly seated. Hotess tells us she will be right back with kids menus. 15 minutes later no hostess no server. When we get to order our drinks, we ask about the kids menu. Our server says she'll be right back. She brings the drinks but no kids menu, she apologizes and says she'll be right back. Hostess comes over 5-10 minutes later and says they are out of kids menus and are printing them. I ask her what's on the menu. She doesn't know but tells me our server can tell us. 15 minutes later our server comes by and tells me what's on the kids menu and says she'll be right back to take our order... and she's off again. Another 15 minutes and a different server comes by and finally takes our order. She tells my husband they are out of the flounder he wants but the halibut is good. I order the special. 5 minutes later she comes back to tell me that they are out of the special. She doesn't bring me a menu and asks what else can she bring me. I'm thinking ..do I look like memorized the menu? But I smile and order the scallops. When the food arrives the best thing on the table is the kids pasta. The food arrives!! My husband didn't get the right sides and they basically served him fish sticks. My scallops with crabmeat were completely tasteless. The bathrooms were dirty and the women's bathroom had not toilet paper. The bill comes and they still charged me for the special but I do have to admit the server noticed and brought it to my husbands attention. We will...
Read moreBrandon is da bomb.com. I called Febys a few days ago to get a price for a pound of lump crab meat & was told it was only $43 a pound which was fantastic. I arrived later that day but the price had raised to $44 a pound. I explained what was said earlier and was purchasing atleast 5lbs. Brandon seemed to look for the approval of another gentleman who was going abt his work but not giving a decision to honor the earlier price. At this point the action or inaction of a solution wld determine if I ever went to Febys again. I had traveled from Chester but Febys was a favorite of mine years earlier ago but I still looked to Febys for my crabs. I finally asked Brandon wld he honor the $43 price as I was contemplating walking out. He very politely and kindly said "absolutely" and gave me a reduced price on another pound which resulted in me purchasing another pound. Yesterday I visited Febys and purchased yet another 2lbs. This was a result of GREAT customer service and an employee who understood that I wasn't just someone they see as money walking in and out of their establishment, but a person who he valued and appreciated as a customer not just for that one day...but potentially a loyal repeat customer. He got it right. I said to Brandon that because of his actions and how he treated me that he had restored my faith in Febys and I will remain a repeat & loyal customer bcuz of Brandon. Nothing compares to good customer service better than EXCEPTIONAL customer service and that's exactly what Brandon gave me. The owner should do something really nice for Brandon. I'm serious. And I'm not talking a $1...
