Loved the food truck so we were excited to try the restaurant. Started with chips and salsa. Best warm, soft tortilla chips but our basket was not even half full and there was just enough salsa to cover the bottom of the bowl, odd. Sweet tea was awful. Tasted like bottled tea with lemon already added. Had my friend try it to make sure it wasn't just me.... decided to get a soft drink. It had a weird combo of not enough syrup and too much carbonation, nasty but decided to drink it and not "be that person". Steak quesadilla was great but nothing came with it. Ordered queso, it was great. Asked for more chips and salsa after leaving the empties on the end of the table for a while. With drinks, chips, salsa...our bowls/ cups were taken from the table and refilled in the kitchen, same container brought back. Friend got an entree and an extra item, a beer. Got our check and noticed we were charged $1 for extra chips. After our lackluster lunch I found this odd. It's not like we shared and entree and filled up on chips and salsa. We paid over $40 for 2 people...shouldn't chips come with the queso we ordered? There were only 2 other occupied tables there. I feel like we should have gotten...
Read moreThis was my first visit to La Brasa. Myself and two other buddies. I had the Enchiladas Combination, one had a chicken and cheese quesadilla which was pretty big and the other had chicken and steak fajitas. Everything was incredible!! I could tell by the quality of the food that it was prepared with much more care than in a typical chain Mexican restaurant. All of our entrees came with beans and rice. One of us had a margarita and the other two of us had Coca Cola in a 500mL glass bottle. I loved having an ice cold Coke out of a glass bottle, just like when I was a kid! Our server was perfect and very friendly! If I have to say anything negative, it would only be that the salsa is served in small cups instead of a bowl. But considering our total bill was only $55, I can't really complain about anything. This will become my preferred Mexican restaurant! Great job...
Read moreWe were looking for a sit-down Mexican restaurant and this was the 3rd one we found. The others in the area had counter service with ordering off a board. Not what we were looking for. Came here and one guy at the bar and one table of 4 guys speaking Spanish. OK. Was seated by a young lady in the other room but she didn't speak English at all. Communicating was very difficult, and you didn't serve Diet Coke? How is that possible? It's the only thing my GF drinks so we were thrown off from the start. We didn't know if she was telling us you didn't SERVE Diet Coke, or if she didn't know what we meant. Very awkward. Anyway, the food was good, but the vibe was just off. The server seemed attentive but we just couldn't communicate with her. I wouldn't go back if we were in the area again, but we...
