Rude manager Robert R. on his name tag.
I was walking out of the store with my wife after just buying a granite counter top night stand a photo and a couple bowls.
I was using one of their carts to push the night stand to my car after I just asked the cashier if it’s okay for me to bring the cart out to my car and back inside the store and I was told it is okay.
As I was walking out Robert R. Stopped me and said those are for employee use only. I asked him why because it is the same as a normal shopping cart and they have like 10 of them next to the furniture and rugs out in the open where anyone can grab them.
He said “for insurance reasons”, ha! As if any insurance company would care about me pushing a flat bottom cart. Hardly any difference in a grocery cart. I’m sure their insurance provider would care more about the heavy furniture on shelves above customers heads or the lamps, flower vases and dishes above customers heads that they have easy access to grab themselves and risk it hitting them on the head than a customer pushing a cart to their vehicle to be able to bring their heavy purchased item to their car.
How else am I supposed to bring the granite two drawer night stand to my car? Should I carry it across the parking lot and risk tripping, falling and hurting myself?
I decided to return all of my items on the spot and leave as I refuse to give any of my money to any company who treats their customers like this. I am a 36 year old grown man. I can push a cart to my vehicle with over $200 worth of merchandise. This place just lost out on that sale and me and my wife’s future business.
Additionally Robert R. Said it is Homesenses policy that customers can’t use the carts. I will be contacting homesense to verify if this is indeed their corporate policy. I have a...
Read moreFound a great piece, but very disappointed with the customer service of one employee in particular. I purchased an accent chair and was pretty positive it was going to fit in my car, but because I was "pretty" positive it was going to fit he didn't want to help me load it in my car, because if it didn't fit he would have to bring it back in the store. Oh, I'm sorry you'll have to bring a chair back into the store that is on a flat cart with wheels and not heavy. Plus i spent over $400 in your store. And, I managed to do all the lifting. He did nothing. And it fit in my car.
The lady at the register was very nice and said if it didn't fit just to come back in the store. And the gentleman that helped me in the furniture section was very nice.
But sadly, this one employee's bad attitude put a soar taste in my mouth.
For being a store that carries large pieces of furniture you should be prepared for guests to not be able to take home their items immediately. Not our fault that your store gets an insane amount of inventory, maybe that is a problem on...
Read moreThe WORST customer service. Lee at the register was extremely rude. Getting upset with us because a tag was missing on a chair. We received zero help loading a chair and large mirror. When we asked for help to load chair and mirror in the car, and obese male and skinny male employee responded at the front of the store, “Why can’t you just take them out in a shopping cart.” They placed the items intentionally bad In the back of the vehicle by placing a long mirror o. Top of the chair where it would slide off and hit the back window. They proceeded to laugh when they watched me take both items out and add them properly. It was as if they were Intentionally trying to be rude and disrespectful. We are still in shock how bad we were treated by Lee and the two other men. We will not go back...
