Extremely Disappointing and Uncomfortable Experience
Iāve had the Deluxe Pedicure (poster on the wall) at Palace Nails before and loved it they use steam, hot stones, paraffin and so on but this time was absolutely awful. The male technician gave such a painful leg massageādigging his thumbs into my calvesāthat I repeatedly said āowā and asked him to stop. He ignored me and continued with the same pressure, making the experience really uncomfortable.
Then came the hot stonesāhe placed them directly on my skin without checking the temperature, and they burned me. I flinched and told him it hurt, and he just said āsorryā and tried again. At that point, I just wanted to get out of there.
I skipped the rest of the treatment and asked him to just paint my toes. The gel polish was thick, streaky, and on my cuticles. Honestly, I didnāt even care anymoreāI just wanted it to be over. I paid $86 for a service that left me stressed, not pampered.
As a business owner who works in the hospitality industry, I understand how important reviews are, and I donāt take writing a negative one lightly. I always try to handle things directly and respectfully. After the appointment, I called and spoke with Connie, who was kind, understanding, and offered a $35 refund. I appreciated thatāuntil two weeks passed with no refund. I followed up again, and she said the owner would call me. That call never came.
Itās not just the poor serviceāitās the lack of accountability. This was my third time at Palace Nails for the same service. Clearly, returning customers donāt matter here.
There are plenty of nail salons in town that value their guests. Sadly, this is not one of them. I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give a negative 1 I would. Horrible experience and awful attitude from lady doing my nails. Needed previous dipping polish removed and requested a regular manicure. While stripping polish she went so quickly that she hurt my cuticle area more than once. I asked her to please slow down as she was working so quickly without care for my nails (she was working on 3 people at the same time) She was very dour and spoke no English. While clipping my nails she took a literal chunk from my pinky while clipping my nail too short. (also did not ask how much I wanted taken off my nails) It hurt like hell and I reacted with an OUCH! She had absolutely no reaction to me, just carried on even as the blood was dripping from my finger. I stopped her and asked for a sterile wipe. She glared at me and proceeded to go to one of her other "victims' Another lady came to me who did speak English and said she would finish my manicure. I again asked for a sterile wipe and was given a damp paper towel! At this point my finger was throbbing and all I could think of was infection so declined the manicure. I asked if they required payment for work done and she said yes. I was astounded and refused to pay for being injured. It is now two days later and my pinky has a nasty red mark just about under the nail and it still is very tender. Let me add that I don't normally go to this place but I had just returned from vacation and my polish needed removing. It was also Sunday where most places are super busy. I can now see why they were not. If you value your nails this is not the place for you. Horrible, horrible experience with a weirdly unpleasant...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been a loyal client here for several years and have even recommended many people to this salon. However, my most recent experience was alarming, unacceptable, and has forced me to take action.
I came in with my grandmother, and from the moment my service started, I knew something was wrong. The gentleman working on me was distracted, even playing a game on his phone while removing my polish. Shortly after, he cut me with the cuticle nippers ā leaving me stinging and bleeding ā and sat there smiling.
As the service went on, it became clear he had no training or knowledge of proper technique. When I asked where he had gone to school, he could not answer me. Another worker claimed his license was from Vietnam. The moment I asked for his ID, he disappeared, and the manager tried to take over.
At that point, I was beyond upset ā not just for myself, but for my grandmother, who is diabetic and at serious risk if serviced by someone unlicensed. This is a major health and...
