Extremely Disappointing and Uncomfortable Experience

I’ve had the Deluxe Pedicure (poster on the wall) at Palace Nails before and loved it they use steam, hot stones, paraffin and so on but this time was absolutely awful. The male technician gave such a painful leg massage—digging his thumbs into my calves—that I repeatedly said ā€œowā€ and asked him to stop. He ignored me and continued with the same pressure, making the experience really uncomfortable.

Then came the hot stones—he placed them directly on my skin without checking the temperature, and they burned me. I flinched and told him it hurt, and he just said ā€œsorryā€ and tried again. At that point, I just wanted to get out of there.

I skipped the rest of the treatment and asked him to just paint my toes. The gel polish was thick, streaky, and on my cuticles. Honestly, I didn’t even care anymore—I just wanted it to be over. I paid $86 for a service that left me stressed, not pampered.

As a business owner who works in the hospitality industry, I understand how important reviews are, and I don’t take writing a negative one lightly. I always try to handle things directly and respectfully. After the appointment, I called and spoke with Connie, who was kind, understanding, and offered a $35 refund. I appreciated that—until two weeks passed with no refund. I followed up again, and she said the owner would call me. That call never came.

It’s not just the poor service—it’s the lack of accountability. This was my third time at Palace Nails for the same service. Clearly, returning customers don’t matter here.

There are plenty of nail salons in town that value their guests. Sadly, this is not one of them. I...

If I could give a negative 1 I would. Horrible experience and awful attitude from lady doing my nails. Needed previous dipping polish removed and requested a regular manicure. While stripping polish she went so quickly that she hurt my cuticle area more than once. I asked her to please slow down as she was working so quickly without care for my nails (she was working on 3 people at the same time) She was very dour and spoke no English. While clipping my nails she took a literal chunk from my pinky while clipping my nail too short. (also did not ask how much I wanted taken off my nails) It hurt like hell and I reacted with an OUCH! She had absolutely no reaction to me, just carried on even as the blood was dripping from my finger. I stopped her and asked for a sterile wipe. She glared at me and proceeded to go to one of her other "victims' Another lady came to me who did speak English and said she would finish my manicure. I again asked for a sterile wipe and was given a damp paper towel! At this point my finger was throbbing and all I could think of was infection so declined the manicure. I asked if they required payment for work done and she said yes. I was astounded and refused to pay for being injured. It is now two days later and my pinky has a nasty red mark just about under the nail and it still is very tender. Let me add that I don't normally go to this place but I had just returned from vacation and my polish needed removing. It was also Sunday where most places are super busy. I can now see why they were not. If you value your nails this is not the place for you. Horrible, horrible experience with a weirdly unpleasant...

I have been a loyal client here for several years and have even recommended many people to this salon. However, my most recent experience was alarming, unacceptable, and has forced me to take action.

I came in with my grandmother, and from the moment my service started, I knew something was wrong. The gentleman working on me was distracted, even playing a game on his phone while removing my polish. Shortly after, he cut me with the cuticle nippers — leaving me stinging and bleeding — and sat there smiling.

As the service went on, it became clear he had no training or knowledge of proper technique. When I asked where he had gone to school, he could not answer me. Another worker claimed his license was from Vietnam. The moment I asked for his ID, he disappeared, and the manager tried to take over.

At that point, I was beyond upset — not just for myself, but for my grandmother, who is diabetic and at serious risk if serviced by someone unlicensed. This is a major health and...

I would not recommend this salon to anybody. I came for a full set of acrylics and was quoted $75. The nail tech said she could do the design I wanted but then couldn’t. I compromised and to her credit she did accept feedback and got the design to where I wanted it. I got home and realized the nails were too thick and not tapered correctly, so I had to go in the next morning to get them fixed. I went in for a soak off and noticed the nail file, cuticle cutters, and the nail cutters did not come from a new package, they came off of a cart. They had likely been used on other customers and not sanitized. They also filed my nails way too much with the drill because my nails are also extremely damaged. They are very brittle and breaking off with the ā€œrings of fireā€ forming from the damage (I added a photo circling the rings so you can see what I’m referring to). I appreciated the nail tech’s dedication to fixing her work and accepting feedback. However, health and safety must come first

āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø A Wonderful Experience! I was looking for a new nail salon and happened to stumble upon this gem — and I’m so glad I did! The atmosphere is absolutely lovely — bright, classy, and clean. From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which is such a refreshing change these days. I got the deluxe pedicure and it was delightful. The water was perfectly warmed, the massage was relaxing, and the attention to detail was top-notch. They even offered me a drink, which was such a nice touch and made the whole experience feel even more pampering. This place really knows how to treat their clients. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for great service and a relaxing experience — I’ll definitely be coming back! šŸ’…āœØ
