UPDATE: 12/3/2020 This place is staffed by people with the worse work ethic ever. If you want take out, spend a few more dollars and order from IHOP. They have better food and great staff. That's where I'll be taking my business for the foreseeable future. You would think in an industry where your income depends on the quality of your service, and your ability to get orders out, they would do everything they can to serve & satisfy each customer. Wrong...
I tried to be a martyr and get this place to start answering the phone and taking take out orders. In some respects I was successful. They answer the phone far more frequently.
My advice to you, if you are ordering take out, is don't tip if they don't pick up the phone when you call, or refuse to take your order when they do pickup. If they do take your order tip them well so the culture changes.
Tonight I called around 6:08 pm and they answered the phone. I attempted to put an order for take out in, and they asked me to come in and put the order in because they were "too busy". I arrived 10 minutes later and recorded on video camera a total of 3 tables.
THREE TABLES was enough to refuse to take my order over the phone.
Why did you answer the phone if you were too busy to take an order? If you can take an order with me standing in front of you why can't you take an order over the phone? It literally takes the same amount of time. The only difference is my proximity to your cash register.
Also...I was referred (after complaining about having to come in to take an order) to the "full house policy" that states ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about taking an order over the phone while the restaurant is busy. I SUGGEST ALL OF THE STAFF THERE READ AND UNDERSTAND EXACTLY WHAT IT MEANS! Because if you understood what it means, you would understand that it's intention is to prevent the spread of the fake corona virus. In which case taking my order OVER THE PHONE would have been more intelligent.
YOU ARE CHARGING PEOPLE A FEE TO TAKE OUT FOOD AND THEY GET TREATED WORSE THAN PEOPLE DINING IN?!?! WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? YOU DON'T HAVE TO WIPE MY TABLE DOWN, TOP OFF MY COFFEE..ETC. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ANSWER THE PHONE & TAKE MY ORDER SO I DON'T HAVE TO WATCH YOU MAKE WHEN I COME!!!!!
I won't spend another dime here NOT A PENNY
I have been ordering takeout here often over the last two weeks as my kitchen is torn apart due to remodeling. The biggest problem I have with this store is they never answer the phone. I always have to show up to place my take out order. The second biggest is the inconsistent pricing. I can order the same thing three times in three days and get three different out the door prices. Tonight after getting a different price again, I questioned the bill. I found out they are charging me to take out. Seriously? I have to come in because you won't answer the phone, order, and sit and wait so you can charge me more for not using a table? What a backwards day we live in. After getting my meal home I find out that they didnt include the sausage that goes with my meal. I'm over it. I'll be ordering my takeout elsewhere. Also when I arrived tonight the counter was covered in togo orders. No body is picking them up. If no one is answering the phone how are you getting togo orders, that no is coming to get? You're not you're stealing from your employer by answering when a friend you know is going to call and not show up so you can take the food home free. Maybe answer the phone and get tips and you can afford your meals and not have...
Read moreFrom the moment I walked into Waffle House, Ony set the tone for an outstanding experience. He greeted me with genuine warmth and energy, making me feel welcome right away. His demeanor wasn’t forced or routine—it felt natural and sincere, like he truly cared about making sure I enjoyed my visit.
Ony’s attentiveness was remarkable from the start. He took my order carefully, repeating it back to make sure every detail was correct. Even though the restaurant was busy, he never made me feel rushed or overlooked. Instead, he gave me the kind of personal attention that makes a guest feel valued.
His efficiency was also impressive. My food came out hot, fresh, and exactly how I ordered it. Ony’s timing was perfect—he refilled my drink right when I needed it, and he checked in at just the right moments without hovering. That balance showed he really understands what great service looks like.
What stood out most was Ony’s personality. He was friendly, approachable, and easy to talk to, making the whole dining experience more enjoyable. He added just the right amount of conversation to brighten my meal without being overbearing. His genuine charm made him memorable.
Ony also showed excellent multitasking skills. I watched him handle multiple tables with ease, keeping everyone’s orders straight while maintaining a calm and positive attitude. It was clear he had the ability to juggle everything without letting the quality of his service slip.
His attention to detail was another highlight. Ony kept the table clean, made sure condiments were full, and checked that I had everything I needed. These small touches added up and showed how much pride he takes in his work.
I was especially impressed by Ony’s patience. Some guests had complicated or specific requests, but he handled them with professionalism and kindness. He listened carefully and made sure every customer got exactly what they wanted, which is a rare quality in such a fast-paced environment.
It was also clear that Ony worked well with his team. The way he communicated with the cooks and other servers showed respect and cooperation. He contributed to the positive, upbeat environment in the restaurant, which only made my dining experience even better.
I left Waffle House not just satisfied with the food, but truly impressed with the service Ony provided. He elevated the entire visit, turning a quick meal into something worth remembering. His effort and attitude reminded me that service can make all the difference.
If I had to sum up my experience, I’d say this: Ony is the kind of server who makes Waffle House shine. His friendliness, attentiveness, and professionalism make him stand out, and I would absolutely recommend asking for Ony if you want the best...
Read moreTwo stars and I am a waffle house fan. I have eaten at Waffle Houses for years. I traveled all over as a consultant and always relied on them for a consistently good breakfast meal. This morning did not reflect well on the cooks or the waitress’s ability to deliver. I ordered eggs overlight, they we served well undercooked even after ordered overlight. I was served the toast, eggs and grits first. I was completely finished with that part of the meal when the bacon and waffle arrived. Bacon was terrible and waffle must have set for a while. This is just a simple breakfast. Top it off with someone’s lipstick on my coffee cup. The waitress acted as though this was all fine. In short a terrible breakfast. I left the bacon and the waffle on the table as I’d had enough. Terrible cook. Cavalier waitress. Waitress at register understood and listened. No thanks to Waffle House this morning. I did call the number on the website and received, “This voicemail has not been set up”. EDIT. I received a call from a Waffle House rep saying he was sorry and would follow up with a package from Waffle House. His service was as poor as the restaurants as I never heard from him or received any package. You just expect better than...
