My wife and I stopped in early Sunday (9/22) afternoon for lunch on our way to Lincoln NH. It’s a small, intimate place that might put some off, but we didn’t get the “you’re not from around here” look. Mike the bartender greeted us and took our order— the homemade beef stew and diet cola for my wife and corn dogs and chips for me with a local craft beer. Mike poured our drinks while we chatted with a friendly local woman at the bar who asked where we were from. We had a great conversation, then took our drinks to the back deck overlooking the river. It was cool, but a beautiful party sunny day. Turns out Mike was also the cook and he brought our meals promptly. My corn dogs (two!) were short, plump and delicious— and paired perfectly with my beer. Amanda’s beef stew with a dinner roll was amazing. I was fortunate enough to get a bite! We had a wonderful time enjoying lunch on the deck overlooking the river and the start of the fall colors.    Read morePlace had a good selection of beers, the food was just right and there was a decent amount of options there also. Service was friendly, efficient and very attentive. The atmosphere was welcoming, everyone knew one another and got along. Ended up watching the eclipse with the regulars and some of the townies and had a truly memorable experience for it.
