Came in for lunch as I'm getting work done in the car across the street. Place is empty compared to the last time I was here. I'm one of only three customers but guess it's not the busy hour. Been here once before and yes the food is good. Ordered a sandwich which featured chicken tenders with bacon, cheese and your choice of dressing. I got it WITH lettuce and onion and BBQ in the side with fries added on for an additional dollar. It came up after only about 6 minutes. Now I don't know how but the tenders were cold. It's not busy so how does it happen? Next, if I wanted nuggets this small I would have went to McDonald's! Three small nuggets in a hotdog bun. I got to go somewhere else to get more food! Then for the 12oz unsweetened iced tea I get the added pleasure of paying 1.99, but it is bottomless so you get that. Remember at the beginning I said I wanted BBQ on the side. They added another .25 cents for that but to the server he stated he didn't know there was a charge. I can understand why because there was no line item on the bill, just for my 6.99 sandwich I paid 7.24. I now know why it's been over a year since I have been there and why it's a ghost town there now. In closing, I just left a crappy tip as I should have been told about the upcharge and to top it off, he asked what my name was, I told him, spelled it out as everyone gets it wrong, and he still spelled it wrong! That was inexcusable and although I am a good tipper, he paid for my BBQ and his mistake. I will see them after I forget why I...
Read moreDriving home from Orlando to Virginia Beach. I was stopping in Wilson to see a friend. We decided to meet at Brewmasters to try it out. I got there first, went in with my service dog. I was met half way through and told my dog could not come in. I told the girl he was my full service dog. He has his tag on always and his ID Card on the leash. She then said, well he has have a harness. I explained that he didn’t, and he has his tag and ID. I then sat at a table to wait for my friend who said he would be 10 to 15 minutes late. I waited and waited. No one came to the table to ask if I wanted a drink or anything. I seen my friend’s truck pull in. I called him and we left I do not know if they just do not like dogs, or disabled Veterans with service dogs. Either way I will not return there.
Response to Owners reply. I will give you the fact the that after a 10 Hour Drive, I was probably not in the best of moods. I took The time to read the sign that said your fryers were down. Since the bartender was doing her job asking about my dog. Then she could’ve also done her job to make sure that I knew there were no wait staff after seeing me waiting there so long. I was a commander of a VFW for over 10 years I learned you never know who will walk-through your door and what they have been through. Always be courteous and offer any assistance. I try to Support and Promote all Veterans owned businesses.
I will increase to three stars To make it neutral. Only because of...
Read moreWe drove from Pittsboro to Brewmasters to meet my daughter and grandchildren. I hate that we had an unfortunate experience that left a bad impression. One of the arcade games malfunctioned and took $1.25 without working. When we brought it to our server’s attention, not only was she dismissive but stated, “well no one has complained about it before”. When my husband asked what does that have to do with us? She stated she could not refund us but would speak with the manager and follow up—but never did. My 10 year old grandson requested Brewmasters for the soul purpose to play games. It was a teaching moment for him as he learned not everyone does the right thing. We waited for a resolution that never came, and she never checked back in. She didn’t even look our way when we approached the bar to check out.
While $1.25 may seem minor and many wouldn’t blink an eye at losing such a small amount, it was about the principle and the lack of follow-through. Good service includes communication and accountability, and unfortunately, we didn’t receive either in this case. As a result, we chose not to leave a tip, which is not something we take lightly as every adult at our table has been a server and one still is so we know the repercussions of not being tipped.
Disappointed overall. Hopefully management will take this as constructive feedback to improve both customer service and attention to small but...
