I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened, and I was always content with the food. I've seen staff come and go and different management come as well. Not too long ago my husband and I ordered some food which was missing some of the food they usually serve on this plate and all the vegetables as well, we ordered corn tortillas that usually are hand made they gave us something completely different, they forgot our beans and we were only served rice. We added a spicy hot sauce for an additional cost which instead they only gave us the sauce they serve with chips. Ok no big deal, I called and spoke with the manager he apologized and stated that his chef was out someone was just helping out in the kitchen, the manager also said he knew exactly who we were because again we go there quite often and he said next time he would give us a free meal since we go there all the time. We came and went several times not once did he offer this free meal, which we were not looking for a free meal so we never asked for it. On Sunday night a friend said lets go out to eat as a belated birthday gift, she paid for our bill separate and my husband paid for his and his siblings bill separate. At the register it was me and my friend paying, another guy and my husband so when we walk out and are pulling out of the parking space I see the manager running out coming towards us I row my window down and he says oh wrong person I was looking for someone else who didn't sign their voucher. So me and my friend drive off, my husband was driving separately I didn't think much of it since there was another guy paying as well I assumed it was him. So, on Tuesday I check our card statement and see 2 charges on our card one was for the $29 my husband and siblings meal cost and the other is for $40 I automatically remembered the manager came out that day. I called him to say that we were wrung up twice, he states no what happened is that your husband put $70 on the tip line of his receipt, he asks very smartly do you know why your husband would do that? Why would he leave a tip that big? I responded no, but he's here by my side if you want to ask him because that's crazy. So, you obviously knew it was a mistake, we left cash for tip on the table, you said it said $70 so why wouldn't you ring it up in one transaction instead of 2, then you said well we've paid it to the waitress, you also ran out to get me, but you felled to mention it to me when you've stated more than one time you know exactly who we are? My husband meant to do $30 to round his bill to the nearest whole dollar not $70.00. Yes, we do leave generous tips especially during Christmas time but we would never leave more tip than what our meal for 2 costs. I was very disappointed with the customer service I received from this manager and yet you offer another free meal to us when we never ever even got the first one that you promised, again we're not looking for a free meal just do your job right. My whole family eats at this restaurant and me and my coworkers come here all the time, on this particular day my uncle and my cousin were sitting right behind us. This was very disappointing to me. I don't see myself eating here for a while because my...
Read moreI used to order here all the time. They were one of my favorite places to eat. I usually don’t post reviews, but after tonight’s situation, I will never go to Mi Cabana again. I ordered online through their Swift4 program. They called and said they were out of rice. My husband and I decided to cancel our order since the rice is one of the things we were most looking forward to (my husband wanted shrimp and rice) and wanted a refund since you already pay through the website. They asked how I ordered, through grubhub or doordash and I explained I ordered on their website. They told me to call a number from the website I ordered and there wasn’t a phone number on the confirmation page or the confirmation email I received. I called back and they said they can’t issue the refund on their end. I find contact info on the ordering software company’s website and contacted them and they told me the establishment has to do it which made sense to me since. I called back once again and the young lady explains that the manager said the company from the website has to issue the refund. I don’t know if they were confused or what, but by this time, I was done. They were about to close and seemed adamant about not solving the situation so I just said screw it. You’d think if they really wanted to help me they’d offer a gift certificate for that amount or something. I try to be understanding of people and a businesses situations because I work in retail myself. I was just so disappointed on how everything was handled. My advice is if you want to eat here, eat in the restaurant or call it in. Do not...
Read moreFood was great. This was my favorite Mexican spot until today. Our bill was 41.44. After the waitress took my debit card for payment, before receiving my card and receipt back, my phone went off saying a transaction of 49.73 was approved. They automatically charged a 20% gratuity without my approval. I said "well ok, since y'all wanna take what yall think yall deserve, I won't leave any cash." I mark through the tip part and write $41.44. I also wrote on the merchant copy that "I wasn't leaving an extra tip because they automatically charged the 20% gratuity to our bill.". Ok, cool. No worries. We leave. Then I get another notification saying a $59.68 charged was made from mi cabana. Went and talked to manager, who couldn't see any extra transactions on her end, so I called the bank...while still there bc now im being charged $110 dollars for some fajitas. Uhm...no. They proceed to stand in front of us talking smack in Spanish, assuming we can't understand what they're saying. So when we call em out on it, they wanna walk away. So now my bank has to dispute both charges. As for me and mine, we will not be returning to this spot. We will not be returning to any mi cabana for that matter. If you choose this spot, I highly recommend...
