We got to A LOT of GameStops as we travel the country. We go to almost every one we find. Usually the staff are a little more helpful but they were fine. We renewed our membership, they had some bag sale, and had buy one get two free on clearance items. I wanted one item for $17 or so. Somehow my purchase was like $26 which isn’t bad for 3 items but I really just wanted the one item. We both have degrees and could barely interpret the receipt. We renewed our membership, got 4 items, and I guess bought a bag for $5 to save like an additional $3. When I looked online most of them items we got were actually way cheaper online even with the sale and half the items being free. I’m not complaining about the cost but having sales where you buy a bag to save money and some items are BOGO, etc just to end up paying retail is ludicrous. GameStop in general- get your act together because people don’t like all your gimmicks. Have to pay $300 over retail for a PS5 just to get stuff you don’t like or whatever. Not throwing it all on this store but it’s definitely a major observation after going to a ton of stores. I do however like the variety they have these days for such a small store- collectibles, console gaming, and even some PC accessories. We probably buy more collectibles than games but probably because I...
Read moreHaven’t shopped here since February 2022 after two very bad experiences. The first was the manager stating she couldn’t cancel preorders, only put them towards other preorders instead of giving you back your money. This is absolutely false considering I used to work for a GameStop. After I called her out in this she refunded me my money. The second was when I went to purchase an item that was shown online to be in store. It was marked for 19.99. When I got to the store and grabbed the product the guy behind the counter claimed it was 29.99 and that the cheaper price was for online purchases only. This was also proven false. The staff lies at this location and I...
Read moreI went here after seeing that they bought vintage game consoles. I got a quote online for a Sega Genesis to sell them then went to the store. Both employees were young; one didn't even know what a Sega was. No issue. Everything looked good with the Sega... They proceeded to tell me they couldn't take it due to not being able to test it. How do you advertise buying these consoles but you can't test them? Don't bring any vintage consoles here, you will waste your time and gas.
To corporate, get this location a way to test vintage consoles like Sega Genesis,...
