Rainbow Shops — Local services in Wilson

I walked into this store on April 25, 2024, and I fell in love with the dresses! I was greeted by an employee who mentioned she had been working there for 7 (or was it 5?) years. She was marvelously polite, enthusiastic and helpful. I loved the classic hip hop & r&b music they had playing in the store while I shopped. “We have Pandora playing!,” she mentioned. I was there late in the day, from 7 pm until closing. There were a couple other employees there. Now, I returned Saturday afternoon around 4 pm all dolled-up wearing a dress I purchased from this Rainbow store; to my surprise, none of the 3 or 4 present employees acknowledged it. I did not see that single cheerful employee (I came to realize she was the only truly welcoming employee). I honestly felt uncomfortable given the present employees’ apathy. Anyway, I returned to purchase another dress, and I also attempted to return several I purchased Thursday as they were too long (it’s bizarre to me Rainbow’s fitting rooms aren’t operational—we’re past COVID, people). However, I didn’t have the physical card on me, and the return was not possible. To my disappointment, I was forced to return to this unpleasant environment one last time today (April 28, 2024) with my card handy to receive my refund. The single employee with amazing energy was absent again. A heavy-set woman with cornrows wearing all black ran my transaction (see attached operator user id), and again, I felt un-welcomed. She was unmannerly, didn’t smile once, and gave the impression she was annoyed (sighs). I never had a problem with this store. I always take my kids to shop here but not myself. I was disappointed of their return policy. I brought a shirt bodysuit and managed to pick up the wrong size. I never tried it on or anything. Mistake on my behalf. But I thought I had the right size. I get into the store to exchanged it to the size I needed and was told no we don't return bodysuit. That once it leave the store the sale is finally. First of all It was mistake of mine to have pick up the wrong size. 2nd there isn't a dress room for others to even try on something if they wanted too with that bizarre policy and 3rd I will not shop here again. I take my teenagers school shopping at a rainbow shop every year, normally virginia, but wanted to make a weekend trip out of it. They love the rainbow shop because of the style of clothes and I love rainbow shop because it is affordable. However, this rainbow shops customer service was 100% garbage! The young lady at the register wearing a "blessed" shirt was the only employee half way polite!!! I will not return to this rainbow...
