First I called before heading over there, I spoke to the lady cos I was skeptical about what i saw on the menu and the prices so I decided to go there and mind you I was really hungry. This was supposed to a Nigerian restaurant but she kept saying white people this and that and I’m like ain’t you a Nigerian restaurant? So now let’s go to the food .. presentation I’ll give it a pass and I mean the poundo only and the plate it was brought in. I got egusi and poundo , brothers and sisters this was an apology cos for someone who said she’s a chef that egusi was wack and the meat was hard,I couldn’t eat the meat cos I don’t even understand the little pieces she threw in there, I told her I don’t eat chicken but she constantly wanted to add chicken to my food cos it’s part of assorted meat 🤦🏾‍♂️.. She constantly kept comparing with white people for some weird reasons best known to her cos I don’t understand why. Lastly my cousin told her the goat meat which was extra 18.99 by the way meat was all bone she was going back and fourth … 2 plates of poundo and soup was way too expensive for $103 … this place is a complete waste of money and I regret coming here …. NEVER AGAIN!

Overall horrible experience. Ordered a plate of pounded yam with okra soup which is priced at $38. When asked for the choice of meat, I asked for goat meat. She stated that it will cost me an additional $18. She tried forcing me to get a large plate instead for an additional fee. The level of Impressionism displayed by the lady in charge was nothing to write home about. she stated all night that we were there that her restaurant is structured to cater to white folks.. I asked for my food to be mild, but instead it was very spicy, the okra also wasn’t slimy. The portions were very little, and it only came with 4 pieces of goat meat that cost an additional $18. Mind you, I received two tiny pieces, and two big bones with little meat attached to it. It was like someone that was meant for a bingo dog. I complained about the meat portion, and how I don’t have the kind of teeth for bones. I politely asked if I can get that changed, she refused. The food was extremely spicy, the okra also was very crunchy and not slimy. This place needs to be SHUT DOWN, if nothing changes!!!!! Worst $68 spent on a small sized plate of okra soup with pounded yam. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!

This is by far, the worst restaurant I’ve been to. The audacity for the owner to tell me, she doesn’t cater to Africans because we give her issues, and her target audience is white people only coz I asked to know how much longer my food will take after being told 15 minutes by her assistant; 35 mins later, she came back to ask what protein I wanted and that she’s just about to start making my food and that her food takes 45 mins after ordering. Furthermore, she wanted extra amount for protein quite different from what is listed on the menu to bring my total to $42 for just a plate of jollof rice! When I asked why, she retorted “Vegas is expensive” The food was wack with too much seasoning which did upset my stomach, the meat tasted stale. I guess she’s focused on attracting white customers only in the hope that they are not familiar with how much an African food should cost and how it should taste. For anyone in doubt, try other African restaurants, our food is so much better and cost half of her price.

OMG!!!!!yall I was scared to try at first just because I saw many tik tok videos of different reactions to Egusi stew but after eating it at this restaurant I am no longer in fear....all I can say is WOW!This food was so flavorful I went back again the next day1😋 UPDATE....I went back to this same restaurant and was ready for round 2 of what ONCE was delicious egusi, walked into the place and felt the money hungry presence (automatic turn off)I traveled too far to just up and leave, so I decided to place my order for my egusi, took it home and it was NOT like the first batch I received the first time....It was bright orange and not as rich in color like my first experience...the taste was completely different than before. I called them over the phone to share my experience with them and got nothing but a bad attitude from them, insulting my intelligence and debating with me insisting that nothing was different about it, which it CLEARLY was😒how you gone tell me what my taste buds are telling me...It was NASTY and I don't recommend this place anymore...If you want AMAZING egusi and better nigerian food go to Calabash Kitchen!!!the atmosphere is so beautiful in there, the staff are so classy and very patient(not all desperate for money as soon as you walk through the door)and the food is CONSISTENT every time😋I promise you'll be satisfied with them...you can check out Calabash kitchen on Instagram and take a look at how good their food looks and compare it to Nigerian Kitchen and you'll clearly see why Calabash Kitchen is superior...go over to Calabash and experience the class and love they put in their food. UPDATE....As you can see from their ignorant response, they are cocky and REFUSE to take responsibility in areas their clearly lacking. Instead of getting mad at your customers for giving their honest review, how about you step up and do better....keep that raggedy attitude up and you won't be in business for long....grow up and do better....Go visit CALABASH KITCHEN and learn to have class like them....your establishment is TRASH....dont give these ungrateful nasty people your money...pay close attention to how they have a snappy attitude towards everyone on here who's left them a negative review instead of APOLOGIZING they'd rather fight and argue with you which tells you alot about them....you might can act like that in Nigeria but you're in the United States now....we don't play that, yall better humble yourself or be out...

I am Nigerian and haven’t had a taste of Nigerian food for about a year cause there’s no restaurant or even a Nigerian place where I stay in Wisconsin, so I was always eager to get to eat Nigerian food any opportunity I get. Vacation to Vegas was the absolute best, and I couldn’t leave Vegas without actually trying out Nigerian food. So I checked online and found about 3 different places but this one stood out for, one was the reviews of the food, second was the pictures of the food and third was the customer service, it was really impressive, so I had to give it a try and well o well it was more than I expected. The food from this place is absolutely awesome, it literally took me right back to Nigeria, the best of the best to be honest, I got done eating and had to order more food to be delivered the next day. You know what’s more amazing I was traveling back the next day and had explained to the owner I would be leaving to the airport at a particular time and even with the busy schedule she had for the next she made it work, she even delivered herself so as to meet the deadline. The food portioning was awesome, right for the price, freshly made and perfectly delicious, trust me anyone going here would love it. She was literally so so so so nice and welcoming, made me feel at home, the best feeling in the world.

I was here with my ex boyfriend, I had Egusi soup and poundo yam, while he had Okro soup with rice (baba no know as dem dey chop swallow) and I had Ofada rice and sauce delivered to me the next day, That ofada sauce was packed with meatttttttt enough sauce to go round too and she even added plantain for me.

If you can see this thank you so much Ms Anjie, I really appreciate the love you showed to me while I was in Vegas. I’m definitely, definitely coming back here. Anyone coming to Vegas and wanting to eat Nigerian food, this should be your go to place trust me, you would not regret spending your money here. Would rate more than 5...

I’m Nigerian & I own a Nigerian restaurant as well so take my review with a grain of salt. Visiting vegas, I found this place off on Google & it said dine in & take out so I thought to try. The Gentleman who greeted us was nice enough to say no dine till end of the week cause they’re short Staffed. I felt stupid as I had to take an Uber with my husband there & we hoped to dine in. Fast forward to ordering the prices are over the top!! I was shocked because what the !!!! I reluctantly placed my order and my bill was about 132$. I waited roughly 40mins for the food & noticed The ambiance of the place. I mean for the cost of the food you’d expect something a little more, the place isn’t all that tbh but I guess that’s how it goes with most Nigerian restaurants not mine tho! The first plate of food comes out for my husband & I was eager to try it! We tasted it on the spot & we were sadly disappointed because it wasn’t flavourful at all. The jollof rice was basically a slap of tomato and few spices nothing special or memorable. The meats on it were basically over cooked skin & 6 pieces of plantain. I understand the inflation but common! I was not sure how to react because they serve the food in big plates to make it look like it’s a lot but really the portions are small & the food isn’t exciting to say the least. The rest of My order came out & my white rice & ofada stew was just greasy oil & pepper with little meat chunks that weren’t really done well. A huge disappointment in my opinion. My half jollof & fried rice was palatable after adding two packs of salt for some taste. All in all I won’t rate them off completely but they’ve real work to put in especially with the food. The guy who took care of us did say the owner was his mom & I think he tries with customer service but everything else is just a no no. I won’t be going back ever tho but you can give it a try...
