D'Agostino's Delicatessen — Restaurant in Winchester

My family and I are/were regular customers of Dagostinos ….mainly in Winchester because of the close proximity to our Melrose home. I shop every weekend and enjoy all the take and bakes, salads and cold cuts! I was there today and called to provide feedback after my take and bake pasta red sauce cover and "Saran Wrap was not secure and spilled on my car seat and rug.…I was not looking for compensation but as a regular customer providing feedback.. I spoke to the owner's son (later found out it was the son) who was rude and asked to speak to the owner who is Ralph...absolutely had no interest in listening to my concerns and kept saying give me the receipt and I will pay for your car to be cleaned. Ralph hung up on me…I called back and he told me we got disconnected (liar) and I told him AGAIN I am a regular customer providing feed back he stated you are keep repeating yourself what do you want..we have never had issues with our containers…..I explained I want just an an knowledgement that you will review my concerns as a regular customer providing feedback., RALPH told me that I was a douche bag and hung up on me... wonderful example and no surprise his son is exactly like him.. your mother and wife should be so pleased.., disgraceful!! FYI Arlington has a separate ownership and despite geographic inconvenience we have had wonderful customer service and respect always! Ralph I hope you and your son receive anger management and counseling to be a productive member of society and shame on your wife to allow you to ridicule...

Not the best experience recently- got home only to find the American cheese covered in crumbs and roast beef juice - The young lady that helped us you could tell definitely did not want to be there so she didn’t care what was going on. She was told about the allergy - the packages were spun then sticker making the bags difficult to open and unusable- I’ve purchased products here many times and never had any issues. Unfortunately I cannot have anything with bread that isn’t gluten-free so the cheese went in the trash. I reached out via email several days later - never heard back. The other items...

The subs are great but the kids who work there handle cash and don't bother to change their gloves before making your sandwich. I got home and threw my sub away because I was so grossed out. Gloves need to be changed EVERY TIME after handling cash and credit cards no excuses and I don't feel it should be up to me to ask someone to change their gloves after handling money because it makes for an uncomfortable situation and possible conflict. It makes me wonder what other un sanitary practices they engage in on a daily basis. Very disappointing, great subs when made with...
