McDonald's — Restaurant in Windsor Locks

This always seems to be the most frustrating location in the area to work with. I can't count the number of times I've paid ridiculous amounts to have stuff added to my burger just to have them not add it and then realize it when I got home. It has gotten to where it takes so long to get through the drive thru now that I won't even visit again after my last time. I had ordered ahead in the app on my way to work, arrived at this location with plenty of time to be able to grab my dinner and make it to work. After getting stuck in an unmoving drive through I finally made it to the speaker to check in. It continued to take forever for them to move this drive through line to where I ended up having to leave and head to work without the meal that I had paid for. I tried multiple times to call them and ask if they could refund my money to me and got no answer only an answering machine that told me to leave my name and number and a message and someone would reach out to me, however the mailbox was full so I wasn't able to do that. So I tried to contact support through the app and they gave my the usual spiel of sorry for the inconvenience and all refund requests must go out to the restaurant. They told me they let the location know and someone would be in touch. It's not been 4 days and they still have not reached out. Absolutely disgusting! First thing when we walked thru the door was a giant puddle of soda. Every trash can was overflowing so much so trash was falling on floor around receptical. Most of the tables had both food and trash on them. We had to clean a table for ourselves to sit and eat.

Normally I don't complain much but this visit was special. 5 employees visible up front behind the counter doing pretty much nothing and someone in back making the food. Manager on duty 7/24/2018 @ 2am was completely unqualified for his position in my opinion. With at least 5 employees available and doing nothing there was no reason he should not have been able to delagate tasks. Had that been my store the manager would have lost his position immediately. To top it off my lady friend ordered a coffee just before we left and manager made it for her. * didn't put the cover on all the way! She wore about 1/4 of that cup of coffee.

Kindly put there is much room for improvement. Perhaps it would be best if someone who is a real team leader and motivator who values their position was...

Wish I was able to rate the worst. The staff is good they are young teens trying to work and make it. The store manager is the rudest, disrespectful person I have ever seen. He treats these young driven kids so rude and tells them with their job if they either talk bavk and or defend themselves. He told a couple of kids that they have to work and cannot attend their graduation. What kond of mosnter is he. I have witnessed multiple occasion his behavior and it definitely is untolerable. I wonder are there any other parents that have heard anything from the kids have not made it here and have quit due to his behavior. It definitely is untolerable. I have spoken up and will continue because atleast these people here are trying to work and earn an hinest paycheck not like certain people that do not want to work or apply for a job.
