First time getting food from Mazatlan. Overall I'm not happy about my experience. I'm hoping this review will help the restaurant to step it up. Here is my experience. I went to order food takeout and went to the online ordering selection. The burrito bowl option on all except GrubHub are charging for items that are included in the menu item like vegetables and protein. Also there is a selection for beans and rice. The bowl comes with black beans. I thought maybe they are giveing fancy beans in addition to the ones included. I tried ordering by calling the restaurant, but their phone wasn't working. I ended up placing an order for pickup through GrubHub. I asked for extra tortillas for my fajitas. When my wife got there she was told it would be $4 for 4 tortillas. These are four mini tortillas. I don't mind paying extra but a $1 each? My wife ended up saying no. Guess what I was missing from m the order when I got home? My tortillas. None were included with my meal. Also my wife doesn't eat meat and ended up with the fancy beans I selected but no black beans. I have three little ones at home so it's not convenient for me to run out again. Very disappointing for my first visit. Please do better. Also, if it were my restaurant I would have take out menus available as soon as I open or shortly after and I would test the online ordering systems for accuracy before going live! I give 4 stars for the food. I can't comment on atmosphere or service since I...
Read moreImmediately as walking through door i hear the insistent badgering of an egotistical human being? Yearning to be recognized for his financial capabilities rather than anything real. Was speaking with a normal employee who vanished to be replaced by the money worshipping big headed disgrace to humanity who ultimately drove me away before tasting anything. It was immediately after opening the door that this conversation could be heard. Truly wealthy people do not take pride in their need to work but rather their family and health. These people were obviously sold on the american dream but failed to understand it entirely. Money will do nothing for people who have nothing to be thankful for while people who are great to begin with use money for constructive purposes. My south american friends, you are poor it is who you are. Working 60 hours per week can not change who you are as you have to return at some point. Try making america a better place while you are here taking our money and ruining americas sanctity. Your disparity leads to locks. America used to be free with doors open. Look what you did in Los Angeles with your lack of hospitality. Everything is locked and expensive. That is the mexican who did that. We used to share now all we...
Read moreThis place is phenomenal! The food was the best Mexican I've ever had. The staff was beyond friendly and the service was on point. We sat right away had a bowl of chips salsa and a plate of refried beans to dip in within 20 seconds of sitting. The waiter arrived 1 minute after the chips to take our drink order and he had a great recommendation for margaritas. The drinks were back at the table 2 minutes after that. He gave us a few minutes with the menu and once we ordered the food was at our table in about 7 minutes, very fast. Over all I can't say enough good things about how great the service was. After dinner we were brought complimentary shots of tequila, not sure what brand it was but it was good, not Jose Cuervo, very smooth. Anyway if I could give the staff 10 stars I would. The food was amazing and hard to emphasize how great. I would recommend to anyone who likes Mexiacn food they need to get over here to see for yourselves. P.S. I'm not one to leave reviews often this was so good I felt compelled to...
