This was the most disgusting and unprofessional place I have ever been. My two daughters and I arrived Friday 11/1. They advertised a continental breakfast. It was in fact not much of a breakfast at all. Stale bread/ Bagels, a few packs of oatmeal, bit hey we dealt with it. Saturday evening, we attempted to go to bed about 8:30, we were watching t.vand the fire alarms went off. We evacuated outside. After about 10 minutes the fire department told all of us in the hotel that we could come back into lobby while they checked everything. After about 5 more minutes, a firefighter made an announcement that they needed to speak to whomever was staying in room 112 ( which we were) we were then approached by the fire Marshall for the city of Hartford and told us as well as the front desk employee we needed to be relocated to another room because our room didn't have a smoke detector at all. And the front office staff wouldn't even get off the phone while the fire Marshall was speaking. We were the only room relocated out of the whole hotel. The fire dept left. I asked to be moved , they gave me a new key card didn't offer to help or anything. I asked to be comped a night for the complete lack of safety as well as having to move at 930 at night. I was told they don't do that and I would have to talk to rhe manager, and that the manager wouldn't be on until Monday morning I checked out this am. I eventually got to my new room,, as we were walking down the hallway another smoke detector was going off in a room 4 rooms down. It proceeded to continue to go off another 20 minutes. We didn't really sleep. Again asked the front office staffe to be reimbursed and now was told they can't help and that it's booking .coms issue. But funny booking.com isn't the ones that dropped the ball on installing smoke detectors. Also " new " room had mold on ceiling in bathroom, and wall was peeking away from door in bathroom.the telephone in room was missing buttons as well. I did...
Read moreThe service sucks this place is ok to sleep for a low low price the ceiling in my bathroom begin to leak I had went out and came back to a disaster but when I called the front desk for assistance it was a disappointment to even call for help the Indian Guy who works overnight was very rude and nasty then threaten to call police and I told him to do so Because I didn't do anything wrong i just ask to be transferred to another room I went to the front to see why he would need to call the police his attitude changes after he notices that I was recording this whole situation then on top of his nasty attitude I called in the morning to let the manager know she say she was the manager this Indian lady she was rude and nasty and then lied and said that I had...had a issue with all of the front desk staff and that was not true just the guy from overnight and now her the lady who checked me in the puerto rican lady She was very nice and so was the black Young lady who have checked me in in the past The manager don't know how to treat people and it's very sad that they're getting away with this up under the wyndham's umbrella it's sad that they do this because nothing gets done even if you complain so there definitely is not no justice for the customers And I see now why they have such a low rating is more people that have done reviews, given bad reports than good ones. And it's sad because they do have good employees that work there, they dont know how to treat people, but the good ones have to suffer for these ones that should not be in no type of customer service position but because my name and character has been ruined so that also makes them treat you badly. And let's not pay a lower price as she stated i paid a discounted rate, so why am I complaining? In other words, if you pay a discounted rate, you will really be treated poorly because she has the authority to do so it's so sad but yet it happens I will do my best to...
Read moreI would give this place negative stars if I could. Unfortunately I booked this place over 3 months ago and the negative reviews are mostly more recent. We checked in last Thursday around midnight after 8 hours of traveling. The second I walked in the place stunk and was not clean. The man at the front desk was not very friendly. Honestly, it seemed like this hotel was family owned and not kept up at all! While walking to my room the entire floor smelled of cigarette smoke. There were crumbs and things on the floor and half of the lights were out in the hall. It literally was like a hotel in a horror movie. Since it was just me and my daughter sleeping there, I did not feel safe and she would not have been able to breathe with the cigarette smoke so I went back down to the front desk to express my concerns about the smell of smoke through the entire hotel and cleanliness and immediately checked out and told him I would like a refund due to not being up to standards. He didnt even care and just asked if I wanted a different room. When I said not he said I have to take it up with the company I booked with. I booked through my corporate benefits website and they have since not been able to receive a response from management for a refund so they suggested I contact them for an approval. I called and asked to speak with a manager. The second I asked the man on the other line for a manager his tone immediately turned defensive. He asked why I was calling and I stated for a refund on my cancelled visit. He LAUGHED at me and said the manager isn't available. I asked when he would be and he said he was the owner so I then asked for his name. He told me Devin but when I asked for his last name he just started screaming at me. I couldn't get a word in and not once did I raise my voice at him so I just hung up and called corporate. Wyndham should be ashamed that a place like that is representing their...
