Let me start by saying the food is excellent and the cheese blend is unique. I gave them a 5 on service, because they are the first company ive ever seen allow you to pay for something by asking for it in the special instructions since an item option wasnt available for selection. VERY COOL!
But, that shouldnt have been necessary. And, I couldn't call. The number only gives a generic wireless provider response that they arent accepting phone calls. All i wanted was to add extra pepperoni. And you cant get something like a pep and sausage since there are literally ZERO customization options. I dont get it. So I check the website thinking maybe they just dont know how to work doordash yet. I worked for a restaurant that had issues with doordash, once., So i get it, but come on now, fix this non sense. You offer a "ny style pizza" but it's just cheese for example, according to door dash. lolwut?
But there is no website. There is only a facebook page that is completely unhelpful and useless for ordering. Im to understand this is a virtual brand, according to doordash. But it is a brick and mortar building with the name attached so im confused. It is in the former Saucy's pizzeria space.
Setting up a website is free and easy in 2025. It was free and easy decades ago. No seriously. Any one remember geocities and homestead in the 90s lol?
My next point is kind of neutral. It is obvious their ingredients are high quality, so the price sorta makes sense. But the portions are so small when ordering via door dash, or maybe that is the only size for each pizza. It was a 14 inch.
Under no circumstance should having a medium pizza and one order of over cooked toasted ravs cost me 50 bucks lol. I can feed my family of EIGHT for that price at any other pizza place in the region, including high quality ones like Ami's. I paid what every other place charges for an x-large. And then some. Even Imo's has lower prices lol. They ruled the high price space in St.Louis for my entire life, until now.
Again, all of this could be wrong and just a doordash situation, but Im not ordering from here again if all i can get are pizza topping choices from 1935 in a medium size for the same price the best pizza places in the country charge for their extra larges.
As ive stated, I try pizza every where I go, and I frequently visit Chicago, one of the most expensive places on Earth. I get pizza on my visits every time, and so far havent run out of new places yet.
I feel bad because the place is SO. FREAKIN. GOOD! They just need to figure out the website situation and portion sizes. When people discover they cant feed a family of 4 for less than 50 bucks at this place, I fear it will hurt business, and the STL are doesnt have enough NY style pizza as it is. We cant lose...
Read moreWe went in after seeing this place on TikTok. We were excited. Prices are higher than most comparable places, but we went for it anyway. It got worse from there. The wife and I waited over 45 minutes for our order. The ladies running pizzas out kept saying our was coming up, but it never did. People who came in after us got theirs, we saw nothing. Then I noticed all the Dashers and Uber Eats drivers getting orders quickly. Those services take precedence over in store orders instead of going in order. So needless to say, our pizza was never made. I asked for my money back at the counter and the owner came out screaming that they don't do that. When I told him that I had been waiting with my wife for over 45 minutes, he informed us that he makes the pizzas from scratch. So does MOD, but they don't near that long. So after he and I exchanged words, he kicked me out without my pizza or money back. SKIP THIS PLACE! The owner is an azz. And since I'm sure he will comment on this: Yep, I dropped my soda on the floor when he told me he was keeping my money and...
Read moreOrdered over $130.00 worth of food for my office. Had to order pick up on door dash because no one would answer the phone after 3 attempts. When we picked up our ordered, it was sealed so we did not get to review it before we walked out the door. When we got the food back to our office, we noticed that one of our pizza was not correct and they gave us an additional New Yorker in place of the Margarita pizza we had ordered. When I called the restaurant to see if we could pick up the correct pizza, the OWNER who answered the phone accused me of lying. Said that he put the order together and it was right and he said all of this without even checking into it. We will not be back after that interaction. Completely unprofessional and very disappointed as we were all so excited to try this new place. I worked in the industry for over almost 2 decades and can never imagine speaking to a customer the way they spoke to me. The owner needs to check his attitude. They will not be in business if this is how they treat a...
