Mountain Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in Windsor

We've been patronizing this place for a few years now and have been very satisfied (mostly to-go orders), but my last visit compelled me to share this positive experience. I came to dine in for lunch with my daughter for the lunch buffet (which is a great deal btw!). The salad bar is missing a few items seen at other salad bars, but makes up for it by being fresh. I would have liked to see some small protein options (like chicken, eggs, ham, etc) and maybe a small thing of alternative greens. The staff was exceptionally accomodating, more so than I would have ever expected from a small franchise. Regretfully, I cannot recall the name of the kind host, but you know who you are. After ordering, they offered to make a portion of the next pizza for the buffet cheese. I said it wasn't necessary, I can just eat the toppings off that she wouldn't. They did anyways. She loved it. The soda machine had to be turned off for a few minutes for maintenance, and the staff went around to each table to make them aware that if they wanted a drink, to please let him know and he will provide a canned alternative. We were even checked in on to make sure everything was good...at the lunch buffet. Establishments like this that employ kind and attentive staff such as here make me happy to spend money eating out and make me a sucker for repeat visits...especially for that...

I don't give all Mountain Mike's 1 star. Just the hembree lane location. My husband and I ordered pizza last night and spent the remaining hours of our sleep time in the bathroom. We both became pretty ill. I have never gotten ill from mountain Mike's before but boy did we last night! I called and let them know and we were met with an attitude of, well oh well. No offer for refund or anything. Very disappointed. I still feel sick. I honestly think our pizza was not cooked thoroughly. At the very least I expected them to offer a refund or a new pizza ( not that I want to eat more pizza🤢) or a coupon.... something! But we were met with attitude. Will never be going to this location again. Not me or any of my very large extended family. Update: Was never contacted back after being told to give my info and said I would be contacted. Food was great the bartender/manager made the place worth going. The guy who was making the pizza and took our order was mad he had to pry his eyes away from the sports game to help a customer. Then when I ordered a pizza he was more mad he had to leave the TV room to make the pizza and that made him really mad. He would stare us down from the kitchen any time he walked by. His attitude changed after a few loud comments from me in the restaurant. If your job is to make food dont take it out on the customers.
