Mattarello is the best bakery in Vermont, by far. The owners are the most welcoming and accommodating business people I've met. If requested ahead of time, they can accommodate for allergens, which is a great added value in a bakery. No other bakery in Vermont has been friendly and/or polite about allergy accommodations. Another long standing bakery, now in South Burlington, laughed at my request. I've ordered catering from Mattarello for work, and they are extremely accommodating with deliveries, times, and menu items. It's a pleasure to shop at this bakery. You are also supporting a small business and diverse communities in Vermont, that is a very important and key aspect of being a welcoming state and choosing where to spend our money and what businesses to support. Alma prepared a custom cake for my parents' 60th wedding anniversary, with less than a week notice. I gave some basic info on the cake, and she took it to a world class result. Working with her was easy and on-time. Here is our email thanks to them:

Seldom do I see a bakery where its visual beauty matches the taste that comes along with their goods. Everything I had was tremendous. The flavors are very distinct and not overpowered by sweetness Their macaroon was grate along with the baklava , the nuts were piled high , a little different than I have had , however It's my new favorite. The reviews about the baklava cheesecake are true it is awesome! The attention to detail is very apparent, and i think it is what makes everything taste so good. My hat is off to the team that creates these wonderful delicacies. All there work makes this place a wonderful choice...
