Maple syrup has had a special place in my heart since I was a young boy, over half a century ago. Sugaring off in the Laurentian Mountains are some of my very fondest memories. The snow, the mud, the endless pancakes and bacon, drowned in warm, fresh syrup. Anyway, I got away from maple syrup over the years because as I traveled and lived far from my home, there was something not quite right about grocery store syrup. It was usually thin, for one thing. It tends to spill out and run across french toast like water. Quite often it is dark but oddly bland in flavor and aroma. And, insult to injury, it is pricey. Sadly, if this is what you were raised on, there would be little reason to seek it out. Anyway, about ten years ago, I ordered syrup and some candy from Mansfield, on a lark. I wasn't expecting too much. OMG, it was so good! Anyway, these days I'm an old diabetic and shouldn't really be messing with this stuff but I do from time to time, anyway.. This place is slightly hard to find but worth the effort! Don’t be confused because it’s in an industrial park setting. Andrew met me at the entrance and welcome me and my husband in. He was so personable and knowledgeable about the products and the syrup process. He invited us to taste test the various syrups and candies. Never knew maple syrup could taste like that! Great customer service! GPS gets the location wrong. Coming from Main Street, take a turn onto Tigan Street then a right to Weaver Street. It's at the end of the short street.

They told me majority of their sales are through Amazon, but it was nice coming in to sample products. Since I spent over $50, they shipped it out for me for free to friends outside the state.
