UPDATE: After I posted this review the manager came to my apartment to apologize and gave us a gift certificate. I appreciate the manager trying to do the right thing here, so I've changed my review to 3 stars. I'm undecided if I'll go there again, but I would consider giving them another chance.
If I could give less than one star I would. This place has really gone downhill fast. I used to order here 2-3 times a month. I'll never order here again now.the final straw was when I placed an order online on a Friday night at 7:30. At 8:30 I called just to confirm they had my order. The lady said the delivery guy had just left with my food a few minutes earlier. Another half hour passed and still no food. We live less than 5 minutes from the restaurant. I called and the lady said said the food wasn't ready yet, give her 15 more minutes. I reminded her of what she had said a half hour earlier about my food being on the way and asked why she had lied to me. She became very hostile yelling at me on the phone. I said I no longer wanted the food and to refund my card. She replied that she could not refund my money. When a protested that I didn't want the food now and expected a refund, what she screamed next blew my mind. She said "too bad, f$&k you" and hung up the phone. I've never been treated so poorly at any restaurant. I drove to the restaurant and at around 9:30 (two hours after my order) I left with the confirmation they had reimbursed my credit card, but still no food. We picked up Arby's on the way home. I'll never go back...
Read moreWe drove down from Virginia to Winston-Salem for shopping and found this place online. As we entered, a door dasher was in front of us and we chatted while we waited. She told us that she was glad we found this place because it's "the best Chinese food in Winston-Salem" I can't speak for the other places in the area but it was the best I've had in a very long time. If it wasn't over an hour away, I would be a regular customer. I love everything but my senior dad only eats Bourbon Chicken, not even the rice, just the meat. He ate more than he expected because it was so good. I got the General Tso's combo so I could have fried rice and egg roll with it. We also got a bottled drink for each of us. Everything was great and it was served in To-go boxes with plates so we could easily bring the leftovers home for later. It was a pleasant atmosphere with just a few tables. One of the cooks sang as he worked, the food was brought over to us by a friendly and smiling woman. a child was in the corner doing homework or playing on a tablet. Later, as we were finishing, an older man brought out a kettle of green tea and offered a cup to us, which I gratefully accepted. It was a nice end to our day and I look forward to...
Read moreI work 3rd shift at a local hospital and placed a group order with some coworkers who regularly order from this place. I sat down to eat my food at 11:30(after closing hours). I had only taken a few bites when I notice a huge, long black hair intertwined within my sesame chicken. Mind you, the place is closed so I cannot call to ask for a new order or a refund. I call when I get to work tonight because I did not physically place the order last night so I was not aware of name/location to explain, and whoever I spoke to of course had an answer for everything I said. Why couldn't I call last night? Because you were closed, and I work 3rd.shift. How do you know it's one of ours? Because I have short hair and and wear it tied up, and the hair was literally intertwined in my chicken, not across the top. I don't have time to debate about whose hair it was, but any establishment that cares about their reputation and their customers would have rectified the situation in some way. And they didn't do anything but argue, god forbid they replace or refund a $7.45 meal, it of a group order of $40 worth of food. So that was the first and last time I spend my...
