I was so excited to come here to get my hair relaxed after 9 years of being natural. Unfortunately my excitement turned into tragedy as I suffered terrible chemical burns on my forehead and scalp that caused significant hair loss. I am still recovering. This was partly due to the hair stylist holding a 15 min conversation with another woman while applying a chemical to my hair and forgetting to work as fast possible as to not burn me. Some parts of my hair were nicely relaxed while others were still coarse. When I got home, I noticed my skin had peeled off where I was burned and I had a huge bump on the burnt area. The area was sore, etc. This has NEVER happened to me in the several years of me going to salons to get my hair relaxed, so I panicked and contacted the hair stylist who only offered for me to come back to her salon to pick up some Shea butter (What will that do???). Barely a “I’m sorry” or any other viable solution. I had to self treat my burns as to not get infections. It was that bad!
