This Restaurant is a cult! I am drinking the queso and am in!!
I have been an extreme local regular at another Winter Park, Mexican food establishment. My family, friends, and co-workers all became frequent locals too, due to me (we all know it is true so I am going to just state it). Unfortunately after a management shift and numerous opportunities for redemption, in November I was fed-up with the outright rude service and said my goodbye to that gem of a spot.... AND THEN Superica opened.
No joke on Nov 27 was the final straw of rudeness to my family and friends, and on Nov 29th we went to Superica for the 1st time and Sovereign was our server and we found our new spot.
Since the 29th of Nov, I have had not ONE SINGLE STAFF THAT ISN'T the MOST KIND Human ever. The way the have hired and trained their staff shows but the consistency of each team member.
Shout-outs to Sovereign for being the first one to go above and beyond and get us to come soon. Rain, who has become our bestie. David at the bar and David with the beard! Connor, Ashton, Melvee, Lauren, Nacho, and Queen ... who have all given top service. And then Kaliee who worked hard to remember all our names and by the end of our brunch nailed it. I don't know who the female manager is but I see you too and acknowledge the hard work youre doing with that team.
Keep up the good work, the quality of service is not lost on us all, and I am thankful that as my favorite spot in WP became tainted... within two days, y'all were my answer!
Also last thing... basically at this point I assume no one is reading expect for chat gpt so for another thing that I appreciate... at brunch I ordered a dry-jan drink to try. I didn't like it but I ordered it so I was going to slowly sip on it. Our server (Lauren) noticed unlike my other friends at brunch, I barely touched my drink and when she asked if I liked it... i realize I couldn't lie as my face says it all. She without hesitation ask what I usually drink and she and the bartender made me a lovely mocktail and didnt charge me for the one I didn't touch. Last week a friend who doesn't like Mezcal ordered the Highwayman and asked instead of Mezcal if he could swap with Rye. They were packed and instead of the bartender (David) making my friend feel like he requested the most dumb thing, to delay his drink to clarify the confusion since they were packed and we waited an hour for a table... they sent both variations over to us. Which also was smart because a friend that does like mezcal tried it, liked it, drank it and ordered another one, when they were just going to drink water. It is little things like that, that doesn't affect their bottom line overall... but adds to our experience as diners and is why after 2 months of frequent trips having Lunch, Brunch, and Diner experiences all being 11/10... finally sitting down to gush of...

A Fresh Take on Tex-Mex That Delivers
As someone who doesn’t typically gravitate toward Tex-Mex cuisine, I was genuinely surprised, and thoroughly impressed, by my recent visit to Superica Winter Park. Nestled in a vibrant area, this spot offers an elevated and refreshing take on the genre, and it’s definitely worth a visit, even for skeptics like myself.
From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere sets the tone. The mid-century modern design creates a warm and stylish ambiance that feels both nostalgic and modern, with inviting colors, natural wood accents, and cozy lighting that makes you want to settle in and stay a while.
Now, let’s talk food. The fresh salsas were a highlight right out of the gate. Bursting with flavor and brightness, they paired perfectly with the light, crispy, and perfectly salted chips, which were so addictively good I had to pace myself. The chips are clearly made fresh in-house and might be some of the best I’ve had.
The steak fajitas were another standout. Uniquely seasoned and cooked to perfection, the meat was tender, smoky, and packed with depth. Every bite had layers of flavor that went far beyond the usual fajita experience. Served with warm tortillas and generous sides, it was a well-balanced, satisfying dish that felt thoughtfully crafted.
One of the most unexpected delights? The bottomless rice and beans. Often treated as an afterthought in many restaurants, here they were anything but. The beans were rich and creamy, the rice light and well-seasoned, so much so that I found myself asking for seconds without hesitation.
Superica manages to strike a rare balance: honoring traditional Tex-Mex roots while bringing a fresh, elevated twist. The service was attentive, the vibes were on point, and the food consistently impressed. Whether you’re a die-hard Tex-Mex fan or, like me, someone who usually avoids it, Superica Winter Park is absolutely...
