Update 8/4/25 - review changed to 4 stars
I wanted to provide an update on my experience and share how the situation was resolved.
After writing this review, I went to the Winter Park location same day in person. The cashier was incredibly kind, immediately apologized for the inconvenience, and provided two beautiful replacement cakes, allowing me to keep the original ones as well. I was extremely happy with the resolution and truly appreciated how gracious and understanding the staff was once I was able to speak to someone directly.
Upon further reflection, I believe part of the issue may have been with the Doordash driver, who likely made multiple deliveries and transported the cakes in a hot car, which contributed to the damage.
That said, the new cakes looked absolutely stunning and tasted just as amazing as I had hoped for my birthday. And I’m glad to say the damaged cakes didn’t go to waste, I was able to share them with family as delicious leftovers.
While I still hope to see improvements in the delivery process and phone communication, I’m updating my review to 4 stars because the in-store team truly made things right and turned a frustrating situation into a positive experience. Thank you again to the staff for your kindness and quick resolution. I’m genuinely grateful!
Original review 8/2/25 - 1 star
I’m extremely disappointed in my experience today. I placed a special order for two Salted Caramel cakes for my birthday nearly a week in advance, and not only did the cakes arrive over an hour later than my requested delivery time, but they were clearly rushed and fell apart during transport.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with delivery from the Winter Park location. Past orders have arrived late due to items not being ready on time, and I’ve even received incomplete or incorrect orders. I truly love the flavors and products Paris offers, everything always tastes incredible, but the delivery experience has consistently been frustrating.
To be clear, the delivery driver was not at fault. He waited patiently for the order to be completed and handled it with care. The issue seems to stem from the Winter Park team either being understaffed or underprepared, despite having advance notice. If an order is placed nearly a week ahead of time, there should be no reason for a 40+ minute delay on pickup or for the cakes to be so poorly assembled that they collapse on opening.
I’ve also tried to contact the store directly, I called 11 times today and could not reach a single person. This made the situation even more frustrating, especially when all I wanted was to speak to someone and resolve the issue.
While I won’t stop ordering from Paris altogether because the quality of the food is genuinely unmatched, I will likely stop ordering ahead or using delivery, since it’s clear that online and delivery orders are not being prioritized.
I would sincerely appreciate a manager reaching out to me directly to discuss this, as I would much rather resolve this personally than have to rely on a review...
Read moreIf you are considering catering from this restaurant, I strongly recommend ordering significantly more than the portion sizes suggested online. For a recent office lunch of 21 people, we ordered the baguette sandwich platter (listed as serving 14) and the croissant sandwich platter (listed as serving 12). Unfortunately, the portions we received were substantially smaller than expected. The baguette sandwiches, in particular, were not only much smaller than the images on the catering site, but the box they arrived in was only about two-thirds full due to the baguettes they were made on being so small. While the number of pieces that were promised was delivered, they were not close to the size depicted in photos (see attached)
Additionally, we had specifically requested that no egg salad sandwiches be included, but they were still provided—making up about a quarter of the order croissant order. As no one on our team eats egg salad, those sandwiches went untouched. We had planned to supplement the meal with chips, which we did, but ultimately had to leave the office to purchase additional food to ensure we had adequate food for a lunch with a high-profile client.
I reached out to the restaurant directly to discuss these concerns, as I typically prefer to resolve issues privately rather than through public reviews. However, the response I received focused solely on the quality of the food and the fact that we ordered for 14 people—without addressing the croissant platter intended for 12 more, or our specific concerns about portion size and the incorrect sandwich types. I was told that corporate dictates the sandwich cuts and box contents, which I understand, but when the individual sandwich pieces are approximately 2 inches long and the packaging is visibly underfilled, it’s disappointing from a customer experience standpoint.
To be fair, the sandwiches were flavorful and the desserts were enjoyable. However, I would not recommend relying on the listed serving sizes if you’re catering for a group expecting a...
