Reo Diner — Restaurant in Woodbridge Township

First, I’ll start by saying I’m a picky person especially when it comes to service and this place always hit the mark. The servers are professional and work fast even on their busiest days. I saw a complaint on here saying they waited 5-7 mins for a server which even if true is not a long wait and I assure you that they are always working if they are not at your table and not just hanging around being lazy. I live close to here and have been here about 5 times to eat and I’ve also done doordash deliveries for them and I have never been disappointed from the people at the front counter, the servers, or the food. Honestly, I see complaints saying the food was bland but they don’t mention what they ordered. I love spice and flavor to my food and have never had an issue. I also realize it’s a diner and go in and order “diner” type of food like breakfast items. My portion always gets wrapped up because their portions are big and they will customize anything you ask for. Their cheesesteak is delicious and so are their fries. The Italian omelette is so good and the coffee is on point. I go here at least once a month before or after church and my 76 year old dad loves it. He can watch his sports or news while being comfortable. He usually gets the Brocolli and cheddar omelette but has also had the eggs. I have never ordered a steak or something that I know I like a particular way from any diner so if that’s the type of food people are saying is bland then that’s kind of a representation of their own preference. I realize at a diner and not a steakhouse it’s always easier to make something bland for the masses then have it too spicy or flavorful. Easier to add spice then remove it and knowing how they have always honored my requests for xtra things on my items I don’t see why ppl wouldn’t do the same but again I wouldn’t order spicy or flavorful items from a diner. It’s a very clean environment and a great place for a quick and inexpensive bite. I wouldn’t suggest it as a place to go for seafood and steak or at least don’t go expecting a steakhouse...

Stopped by to grab a bite to eat around 2pm. Seating was quick, and like every other place, they had a sign saying to be patient due to lack of staff. Thankfully that wasn't an issue BUT it may be if it's peak times. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. We ordered one of the breakfast dishes with eggs, home fries, sausage, etc . And a cheeseburger deluxe. I'm VERY picky with ordering burgers out, either they're overcooked or don't have the flame broiled taste. Both dishes were delicious! Burger cooked perfect, bread was fresh and it came with fries and 2 onion rings and extremely fresh, homemade coleslaw, I had a bite left that I just couldn't eat and if I wasn't so stuffed it would've been totally gone . The eggs were cooked to order, and everything that came with it was fresh made. There were a ton of things to choose from on the menu, all looked better than the next. They have a display of desserts that I wish I had room to fit because they looked like they would be calories that I would regret but would be well worth it. There is a big parking lot, which would come in handy during peak hours. If you're looking for a place to eat that isn't overpriced, has great food, movie stars and singers autographed pictures lining the walls behind the counter(obviously it was good enough for them!) Will never return to this diner, food was terrible, service ok. Dined in on Saturday with my Sister, around 1pm Lunch time. let me start by saying it was quite busy. but... 1.. With server we felt so rushed with ordering, I wasn't done ordering or asking questions and she kept moving on to my sister, other than that she was ok again it was quite busy. 2.. Appetizer: Soup came out room temperature, we had to send it back so they can heat it up (in microwave.) , disco fries had hardly any cheese. 3.. I ordered Chicken Francaise over rice and everyone knows Francaise is all about the lemon buttery sauce. when I received my food, it was dry, barely any sauce, hard rice, ROOM TEMPERATURE and sauce had no taste what so ever, NO lemon, butter, sherry, or white wine taste what so ever.
