Beware!!! The food was horrible! We were on vacation & my husband saw the great reviews for this place, so we decided to try it. We ordered 2 mocktails & an appetizer. Our mocktails came after about 15 minutes & then the waitress filled our water again & took our entree order. After waiting for 30 minutes for the appetizer my husband asked the hostesses if the appetizer was still coming. She went & checked. Then our waitress came back to our table & said she was sorry the appetizer was given to another table & they had to make a new one in for us. She finally brought it to us after a total of 45 minutes. We had ordered the wild game meatballs for our appetizer. They were so spicy & had so much chipotle bacon sauce on them. You couldn't taste the meatball only the hot sauce, it was like the chef was trying to hide the flavor of the meat. I couldn't eat them. My mouth & lips were on fire. Finally 30 minutes later, an hour & 15 minutes total wait time, the waitress brought our main entree. I was so hungry by then, as I couldn't eat the spicy meatballs. My citrus buttered scallops looked unappetizing & like slop. I took a bite & it had the worst bitter off taste & the scallops were chewy. I had to spit it out. Fresh scallops do not taste like that. I got the waitress's attention & let her know the scallops did not taste right. I let her know I didn't want them & could she please bring us the bill. She went & got the manager or owner, not sure which. The owner or manager tried to explain why the food tasted the way it did. She tried to explain that scallops taste like that. I kept my cool & said I know how scallops should taste, I have ate scallops many times & those don't taste right. They had an off taste & very chewy. They tasted old. I said I had to spit it out. (I attached a picture of this slop!) It's like the chef has no idea how to cook. I also let her know the chipotle bacon sauce was too hot. Then she tried to explain what chipotle is. Yes, we know it is hot & your chef put too much of it on. My husband loves spicy food & he even said it was extremely hot. She then tried to see if they could make me the chicken strawberry something. By then, after an hour & a half, I was hungry, upset, & just wanted to leave. Most people who had gotten there after us had already ate & left. I said no, we would just like to pay our bill & leave. They did take the citrus buttered scallops off of our bill, as I had one bite & spit them out. My husband did say the waitress was very nice & it wasn't her fault, so he did leave her a 20% tip. Our bill for 2 mocktails, an appetizer, his entree & her tip was almost $80!!! What a waste. Never again! When we left, the chef & owner or manager were sitting on the back steps of the restaurant by the parking lot smoking &...

Read moreThe food compensated for the unwelcoming and uncalled for comments I received. Our server was nice, a little green, but overall attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. My favorite was the strawberry chicken dish. Iâm rating this place one star because this lady (who might be the manager, owner or head server) passed by and passive aggressively told me âyou lost your shoesâ. Yes, I had my shoes off with socks on because Iâve been having blisters all week and just came from a long bike ride- I wanted to relax. We showed up later in the night with no other customers around our table so I decided to relieve my feet. She came back around a second time and told me with an attitude to put my shoes on. I get it-itâs health code, but itâs the end of the night and nobody is around, who am I hurting? She has every right to ask me to put my shoes on but I believe it was uncalled for and to be honest, it made me cry mid dinner. I think it was rude and unwelcoming and I felt uncomfortable the entire dinner. I wonât go back again and neither will most of her servers. They all seemed very green which may be a product of a high turnover rate. People like that only look for things to be mad about and wonât receive positive outcomes. I hope this restaurant can reevaluate because the food was very...
