Update 7.12.24 Stopped in again today and I have to say every time we've eaten here it's been progressively more disappointing. The first few times I ate here I really liked it but the food each time since it just seems bland and portions seemingly smaller while prices are staying the same or increasing. The Mac n cheese with bacon was absolutely horrible and should be taken off the menu or completely scratched and start over. It literally tastes like butter noodles. We've stopped in a few times when we come to Woodland Park. I love the Texas Twinkies. They are different than others that are stuffed with brisket but still absolutely wonderful. You get 5 for $13 which is a pretty good deal in comparison to others I've had. Tried the Brisket Philly today. While the sandwich overall wasn't for me the brisket was good as well as the roll it was on. I suppose I imagine the brisket to be shredded or chopped and not cubed but it was flavorful and tender and had a nice smokey flavor. After a long day in the mountain Peak View BBQ hits the spot! Full bar and great selection of beers too

Best experience of BBQ and Asian cuisine! Such a unique experience to find seafood boil and brisket with your Pho. My family loved every bite from the snow crab legs to the delicious savory Pho. The brisket was to die for and it was so juicy and tender. You can tell all the bbq was smoked with great ingredients. I could just keep ordering all the different types of food. I would def come back for Happy Hour from 2-6pm for their wings and fries. They have an ample amount of space for large parties to watch a football game and an outdoor patio space to eat with your dog. Good place to stop by especially if you are driving home from the mountains! I def will be coming back on my next adventure to Breck or Vail.

After visiting Pike’s Peak, we stopped by Peak View BBQ & Taproom in Woodland Park and were so surprised to find seafood boil here! The view from the restaurant is stunning – you can sit by the window, enjoy a cold beer, and look straight out at the mountains. We ordered the seafood boil, and it was incredible – crab legs, shrimp, mussels, corn, sausage, and potatoes, all perfectly seasoned and so satisfying. The portion was generous, and pairing it with their draft beer was just perfect. It feels a bit surreal to be in the middle of the Colorado mountains and enjoy a seafood boil this good. Definitely exceeded expectations, and I’ll for sure come back again. Highly recommend both the food and the view!

This is a hard review to write.

We found this place online and placed it as our dinner spot after visiting Pikes Peak. Everything seemed great. The place looked clean, it had a large party and many other people came. The place also seems to be classy. Food presentation looked amazing and appetizing. With every plate that went by made us even more anxious for our own food. Until…. Our food arrived.

Presentation was spot on. But the taste for many of the dishes were lacking or overly seasoned.

Our youngest daughter’s fried chicken tasted off. She ended up eating her corn bread and fries. Our oldest daughter got the pork sandwich and she said it was good, but the mash potatoes were unable to be eaten because the pepper flavor was too strong in the gravy. The comes our sons brisket platter and wife’s brisket sandwich. The platter is $19.99 and the sandwich was around $12.99. The brisket sandwich had more brisket on it than the platter. The only difference with the platter is that you get one extra side vs one side with the sandwich. Our son said his brisket was thinly sliced, chewy and tasted horrible. Then there’s my meal. I ordered the rib platter for $28.00. The rib potion seems large. Actually larger than I’ve seen at a BBQ place, but the 4oz of brisket was lacking. My brisket could be described as the same as our sons. The ribs though… there was so much salt on them than they were inedible. I tried to eat them but the more I ate them the harder it was to even stand them. I was only able to eat a rib and left the rest of the 1/2 rack on my plate.

When the waitress asked if I needed a box, I said, “ No, I’m not going to take these ribs home” she replies, “were they not good?” To which said, no they are too salty to eat. I can’t even attempt to eat them.”

At this point I was prepared to swallow and pay the full price of my meal. When she came back with the check, they had charged me full price and I had just said to her, “I don’t think it’s fair that I pay full price when I’m leaving 90% of my meal because it’s inedible. But if there’s nothing that can be done, then so be it. She offered to go talk with management and came back and said there’s nothing she can do. We had more conversation and she left and came back with $8 off of the $28.00 meal. At this point I felt that was unfair that I was going to give back 90% of my ribs. So I asked to speak to the manager. So the waitress went back and yelled, Mom!

The manager came out and tried to explain that there were a lot of people here ordering ribs, and 8 $8 was all she would be willing to give. My rebuttals was, it’s 90% of the 1/2 rack portion. A half rack portion on your menu was $14.99. Didn’t eat half of the half rack of ribs, let’s meet in the middle and just take $14.00 since I did eat the two sides and then brisket. She argued with me more about the $8.00. But by this time. I wasn’t going to budge. The fact that she was willing to come out and argue with me, and make it seem that the over salting on the ribs were my fault. I’m not sure a lot of what was being said, there was a lot of dialect issues and it was hard to understand her accent.

Eventually, we agreed on taking off $14.00, I asked for a new check and we went on our way.

Just know, we were the only ones in the restaurant that had opinions about the food. An older couple there didn’t finish their food either. And many others were talking about the quality...

We've been coming here awhile however some issues have come up. First, the service on our last visit was terrible. The bartender was not nice, was not accommodating, acted like the customers were there for her instead of the other way around. I ordered an appetizer for my meal and my wife had a sandwich. My order came out long before hers even though it was a meal for me so much so that I was done eating it before she even got hers. I asked the bartender about this and there was no apology, just the answer that it was fried so it comes out faster. Well, I've worked in the service industry for years when I was younger and that's not how you do it when it's a meal, it comes at the same time as the other meals. In addition to that when I asked the question she acted like she didn't even know what I was talking about. This isn't the first time we've had issues with this particular bartender either.

Regarding the service, you see some of the issue above but also just a bad attitude like asking for anything was a burden to her. Anything we asked for was like it was putting her out. Another customer asked about how many of something was included and her answer was that she just didn't know and then said do you need me to go ask. Well, first why don't you know as that's your job as the server, and second of course you need to go ask. Yes, the customer has a question that you don't know the answer to so you go find out. You realize you are getting tipped for things like this right? Do your job. All I can see there is a sense of entitlement like she should get her tips no matter how bad the service, again that people are there for her instead of her for them.

Then about the food. Well, we've had issues especially lately where they are out of everything we try to order and end up with something we really didn't want. In addition to that there are definite quality issues. The appetizer I ordered above was pork spring rolls. On the picture in the menu they looked big and beefy and like they were made by hand. What I got were basically grocery store rolls that were tiny with barely any meat in them, mostly lettuce, and I believe the same ones you get for free when you order a meal from the owner's Chinese restaurant in town. They were garbage that we paid a fair amount for. When I asked why they were different than the menu picture the answer I got was, well we need to update the pictures. Again, no apology, no recognition of the problem or any attempt to make it better.

We were both upset about this experience so much so my wife even stated that the bartender attitude made the whole experience of eating out unenjoyable and a real downer for us that day. It's extremely unlikely we'll go back again after...

I am a barbeque connoisseur and I love my barbeque. I was very excited to see that a new barbeque restaurant came into town and couldn't wait for it to open. My spouse and I went to eat at the restaurant on Wednesday 8/26. When we entered the facility, we were greeted right away by a hostess/waitress and were seated. It is a nice feeling to be recognized right away by someone when entering a facility. When the waitress came to the table, she didn't introduce herself and she asked us if we wanted something to drink. My husband ordered a simple beer and I wanted a strawberry daiquiri. When I asked the waitress for the daiquiri, she looked at me with a wierd look on her face and said, "I'm just 18, so I don't know what that is". How are they going to let an 18 year old serve alcohol when she doesn't even know what is on the menu? The waitress came back 10 minutes later and said, "We don't have the ingredients to make the daiquiri. Would you like something else"? I told her just water because I didn't want anything else. Then the barthender came out and she explained that she was out of the strawberry mix and that is why she couldn't make the daiquiri. She offered a margarita and I took that. The waitress then asked us if we wanted an appetizer to start with and we ordered the Texas Twinkies (which were delicious, but pricy) $12 for 6 Jalapeno poppers stuffed with cheese and brisket wrapped with bacon. She came back after we were done with the appetizer and took our order. Who does that? After getting our order which took about 25-30 minutes, my husband wanted some hot sauce for his Pulled Pork Sandwich that he got and guess what? They carry NO HOT SAUCE! What kind of barbeque restaurant doesn't carry hot sauce? I ordered 1/2 rack of ribs and they advertised that they fall off the bone. This they did not do. The meat was tough and dry. I did not like the barbeque rub they used on the meat. I would rather have the barbeque sauce on the meat instead of a barbeque dry rub. The waitress never came to our table to check on us as I watched other waitresses constantly run back and forth checking on their tables and customers. I ran out of water and had to finish drinking my husbands. Bad customer service. She didn't have a problem coming back to give us the bill. The bill was $76 for 2 people and because of the bad customer service, I shouldn't have tipped the waitress, but she got a 10% tip. I wont go back to eat here as this was a bad...
