We used to come here all the time. It was our weekly restaurant until COVID and the food quality went down. We decided to try it again last night and it was WORST than during COVID.
To start, we had family in town from Texas so we decided to pick up the meal and bring it home to eat so the kids could play. When we got it home, we were missing an entire entree, our veggie quesadilla didn’t have cheese on it, we had a random chicken dish we didn’t order but he charged us for, and the large cheese dip tasted like it was made from a powder (kind of like powdered mash potatoes) and had the worst texture. Our 5 kids took 1 bite and wouldn’t eat it.
I called the manager/owner, Rico, and he was extremely rude but agreed to remake the 1 dish and make the steak quesadilla dish.
When we got there, I told him we needed a refund for the messed up dishes since we had to come all the way back to the restaurant and for the dish he charged us for but we didn’t order. He was extremely rude and tried to just give us $20 cash… well the dish he charged us for was $13 by itself. He told me I didn’t know what I ordered. We showed pictures, he didn’t care. He did eventually give me $33 back which was almost the price of those 3 meals but told me the cheese dip was good and he wasn’t fixing that.
Needless to say, he has lost our business. We will be happily going to Happy Taco down the road...
Read moreThey, on September 29th served me a chimichanga filled with baby roaches.
The owner came over and said he has known about this for the past month and they have been trying to fix it. The ground beef has had a roach problem.
I asked him if he threw it out, but people kept getting served…no way at that volume…it impossible…
I ate, no kidding, between 4-8 baby roaches before I noticed half of one on my fork. Which I sat my fork down for a second to take a business call and then back half of the baby roach was on my fork..oh my god…
they comped my meal but not my wife or kids.
This has made me, no kidding, distrust my favorite Mexican meal forever. If you cut into a chimichanga and it’s filled with beef and roaches….when will I literally ever eat another one.
Holy cow…..how many did I actually eat!?!
I threw up repeatedly in the parking lot, I could smell bugs in my motorcycle helmet and threw up at the quick trip across the street.
Not kidding, chimichanga…filled with roaches…I ate it…oh my god…
This restaurant, and I was on a chimichanga kick, they’re good..I probably won’t ever eat Mexican again. I thought I was crunching gristle beef, nope, baby roaches…….what the ever...
Read moreI've been to Mi Casa twice. Both experiences were terrible. And both experiences were pretty much exactly the same. You walk in, the hostess is just looking at you as if you should be the first one to speak. There's no greeting. She looks like a high school aged girl who just doesn't want to be there. Same hostess both times. The servers and staff seem pretty free to do what they want, no matter how unprofessional it may be. Both visits they were always sitting around, playing on their phones. Sitting around the dining room and even in the hostess area. It just seemed a bit unprofessional to me, both visits the restaurant wasn't that busy. The fact that we were sitting at our table looking around for our waiter who was nowhere to be found made it worse. The food was okay, not bad but typical strip center Mexican restaurant style. Nothing special or unique. The service for us both visits was horrible, hence the one star. Strongly recommend you don't waste your time. Unless you're okay with bad service and typical Mexican...
