First time ever giving a 10; they pay attention to details! Starting with the room, we had the suite with separate bedroom and sofa bed. I was shocked at how big it was!! ThI pictures did not do the room justice. We could have fit a queen bed and still had room to spare. We were a party of 5 (ages 40s, 20s, and a 5 year old) and it was great to have room to spread out. Loved that each room at its own TV so we could wind down without making a show of what to watch. There’s an extra sink by the kitchen area which was convenient for teeth brushing given it was 5 people to one bathroom. The room and the entire hotel is VERY clean and well cared for. It may have been recently renovated, but even then it didn’t feel like a cheap renovation as in other hotels. Appreciated the attention to detail. For example; the LIQUID BOTTLES IN BATHROOM ARE LOCKED!! This has been concerning me for several years. Many hotels have switched to liquid hand soap, body wash, etc in refillable bottles attached to the walls. I’ve noticed that anyone can open those bottles and add whatever they want, is not like housekeeping is doing a chemical check to ensure that ingredients are intact. Finally a hotel figured this out! We had everything we needed in our room, I often use the sofa bed and always have to call the front desk for bedding. Everything we needed for the sofa bed was bagged and stored in closed. The pool hours are amazing! We visited the ice castles and were worried the pool would be closed by the time we arrived in Hotel. The hours allow for early swimmers and for those out at night. The pool and jacuzzi are on the small side but it’s wasn’t a problem because turnover over is quick. All the tables and chairs were occupied when we got there but within 2 minutes a family left. Everything very clean, and I pay attention to details. I liked that mats were lined all around the pool to prevent slipping. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our bathroom was locked in (we did not have a coin to turn the lock) and they came up immediately. The only negative I can think of is the thermostat regulation. We set it for 68 degrees and the room would get very hot then cool air would shoot out of unit so you would end up with hot & cool temps. This didn’t seem to bother anyone else in my group and I think if we had set it lower it wouldn’t have been a problem. Still, it was nice that the rooms had separate heating zones! Those in the sofa bed area were able to set their own temp without infringing on ours. Again, they paid attention to details from how it was built to how is currently maintained.
EV: we used the EV charging spaces and worked just fine. They are only have 2 spaces -that we noticed- but assume they’ll add more if needed to meet demand. They were both occupied all night (slower chargers) by us and another vehicle. They should consider adding more even if in back of hotel. EV drivers will walk for charging.
Overall we liked our stay so much that we’re planning a summer visit to the area and will be...
Read moreMy partner and I recently chose the Holiday Inn Express in Lincoln as our host hotel for a scenic car driving event we organized in June of 2024. We could not be happier with that decision! Every member of the staff was helpful and kind and all went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant. We come in contact with many different hotels and resorts when we organize our events, and I would rank our experience with the staff at Holiday Inn Express White Mountains as one of the best. They kept us informed of our room block usage every step of the way leading up to the event, and even were able to accommodate us when a few last minute additions needed to be addressed. And the attention didn’t stop there. ||When we needed recommendations for local restaurants, they were quick with suggestions to help meet our needs. When we needed a couple of extra chairs to accommodate our group hanging out together in my suite, they brought us extra chairs. Anything we needed, they had it covered. ||In many hotels, the breakfast area is something of a nightmare. NOT so here at HIE Lincoln. Everything was neat as a pin, well stocked, and clean. The manager went out of his way to accommodate our group’s needs, event to providing us with a sectioned off area to park in, and a car wash area with hose, buckets, sponges, and soap. Our event participants are car people and picky about keeping things clean, so having that car wash station set up was just fabulous! ||If you are going to the White Mountains, we here at Overdrive Adventures highly recommend staying at this hotel. Mr. Amir and his staff do a wonderful job and truly know the meaning of...
Read moreThis was a great hotel. They have a hot tub, which felt great, and their fitness center has three treadmills, a good set of dumbells, an incline bench, and a large, spotless mirror that covered an entire wall. I was the only one using it, and it was all great.||The staff was remarkable--the woman who checked us in was able to enter my ID number and address into their system by asking me to simply hold up my ID for her, and she speed-typed it all in in less than 15 seconds! I don't want hotels to scan my ID, but she was a very fast typist and had great eyesight. The hotel's breakfast was good too--much better than most, and they welcomed us to take snacks with us the following morning.||The one problem I had was with the hotel wifi. I use a VPN to protect my privacy, and their system blocked much of my IP traffic. The front desk didn't have a list of local restaurants, and when I used my TripAdvisor app to check on them, their wifi system apparently confused the app, and caused it to indicate that most of the nearby restaurants were closed on Wednesdays, when in fact they were not. I couldn't use wifi-calling to call the Common Man restaurant to check, either.||P.S. - Expedia rejected this and another of my completely benign reviews for this trip without specifying why. They obviously put their business affiliates above customers, so I won't be leaving any more reviews with Expedia or booking through them anymore--I only plan to use TripAdvisor and Booking dot com...
