A Culinary Journey at Roberto's Deluxe--Oysters and Fine Fish
Stepping into Roberto's Deluxe feels like being transported into a culinary wonderland where each dish tells a story, and every flavor dances on your palate. Nestled in the heart of Downtown Woodstock, this gem offers an unforgettable dining experience that beckons food lovers from near and far. From the moment you walk in, the swanky cool ambiance, impeccable service, and tantalizing aromas promise a night to remember.
Appetizers: A Symphony of Flavors
Our evening began with a trio of appetizers that set the tone for an exceptional meal. The Oysters were a revelation—each shell was a briny burst of ocean freshness, perfectly complemented by a zesty mignonette sauce. Next, the Braised Octopus was nothing short of sublime. Tender and succulent, it melted in the mouth, paired with a vibrant medley of spices and herbs that elevated its natural flavor.
However, the Spicy Calamari stole the show. Lightly battered and fried to golden perfection, the calamari was wonderfully crisp on the outside and tender inside. The accompanying spicy aioli added a delightful kick that left our taste buds tingling with pleasure.
Entrees: Masterpieces on a Plate
For our main courses, we were spoiled for choice. The Lobster Fettuccine was a dream come true for any seafood lover. The pasta was perfectly al dente, coated in a rich, creamy sauce that clung lovingly to the generous chunks of sweet, succulent lobster. Every bite was a decadent delight.
The American Red Snapper was another highlight, showcasing the chef’s skill and creativity. The fish was expertly seared, boasting a crispy skin that gave way to a moist, flaky flesh. The green curry sauce and Thai herbs complemented the natural sweetness of the fish.
And then there were the Hush Puppies—an American classic reinvented. These golden orbs were crispy on the outside and tender within, topped with a hint of jalapeño and bell pepper jelly. They were the perfect side dish, adding a comforting, homey touch to our sophisticated entrees.
Desserts: A Sweet Finale
No meal at Roberto's would be complete without indulging in their exquisite desserts. William's O.G. Key Lime Pie was a refreshing end to our feast. The pie's tangy filling struck the perfect balance between sweet and sour, nestled in a buttery graham cracker crust, and topped with a dollop of whipped cream that was as light as air.
The Strawberry Shortcake was equally divine. Layers of fluffy shortcake, ripe strawberries, and velvety strawberry butter cream came together in a harmonious blend of textures and flavors. It was a nostalgic, comforting dessert that left us with smiles of pure contentment.
Conclusion: An Unmissable Experience!

Woodstock just got a whole lot more exciting for seafood lovers! Roberto's Deluxe Oysters and Fine Fish, nestled neatly in the heart of downtown, has quickly become my new favorite spot. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a vibrant atmosphere that's both upscale and inviting. The centerpiece of the restaurant is undoubtedly the stunning glass case overflowing with the freshest and best unique selection of oysters I've ever seen in this area.
But the true star of the show is the food. Roberto's boasts an incredible menu selection of fresh fish, expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. Honestly, it was some of the best seafood I've ever had. The quality of the ingredients truly shines through in every dish.
Beyond the incredible food, the service at Roberto's is exceptional. The waitstaff is knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about seafood. They made excellent recommendations(Scallops WOW) and ensured our dining experience was nothing short of delightful. We tried the octopus, oysters, red snapper, hush puppies and scallops. All were stunning. They even spent time interacting with our baby which was comforting and a nice gesture.
They have ample seating both inside and out. There are a limited number of seats on the Main St side but these are completely shaded which was great for a warm day. The other seating is on a patio between two buildings that is ample but not covered. Just something to note.
Roberto's Deluxe is a fantastic addition to Woodstock's dining scene. It offers a unique and upscale experience that's perfect for a special occasion or a memorable night out. Whether you're a seafood aficionado or simply looking for a delicious and well-prepared meal, Roberto's Deluxe is a must-try!
The only negative for this restaurant was that they didn’t have any sweet tea. They had iced tea that they could add simple syrup to but this is the south, you...

Roberto’s is easily one of the finest dining experiences I’ve had—anywhere in metro Atlanta. With a background in exploring top-tier restaurants throughout the region, I can confidently say that Roberto’s is in a class of its own.
From the moment we arrived, service was seamless. Our server, “T,” brought a perfect blend of warmth and deep menu knowledge, elevating the experience with thoughtful recommendations.
We began with a round of oysters that were supremely fresh and expertly presented. From there, two starters are absolute essentials: the Salt & Pepper Calamari, featuring jalapeño, dried chilis, and sambal for a flavorful kick; and the Crispy Octopus, perfectly balanced with chili, honey, soy pickles, and yuzu. Both dishes are bold, well-executed, and completely crave-worthy.
For entrées, we ordered the Halibut, beautifully paired with corn, bacon, almond, and basil—a light, elegant preparation with rich flavor. The standout of the night, however, was the Seabass, layered over creamy grits and accompanied by a 12-hour smoked and braised short rib. The contrast of the delicate fish with the deep, slow-cooked richness of the beef made for a masterful composition—one of the most memorable plates I’ve had in recent memory.
Drinks were well-balanced and inventive, and dessert—a mixed berry ice cream with jam and cake—was fresh and nostalgic in all the right ways.
Roberto’s doesn’t just meet expectations—it surpasses long-standing institutions like The Optimist. For those who appreciate thoughtful seafood, Southern-inspired creativity, and impeccable service, this is destination dining...
