Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Woonsocket

Not sure how this place has 4 stars. Went to eat with family the other night, we got an appetizer, which was great. One of my family members ordered a sandwhich and I got a burger. She specifically asked for no swiss cheese on it and came without bbq sauce, cheddar cheese, and mayo. Her fries were luke warm, also. She sent it back, the waitress said I'll have them remake it for you. They used the same sandwhich and threw some bbq sauce and mayo on it, but no cheese. My burger was burnt to almost a complete crisp and my fries were also luke warm. 3 other tables sent their food back, all of which having the same order as my family member. Another table got their bill and it was wrong. Not sure if the waitress was new but she kept forgetting to bring out items we asked for and everytime she came by the table she said she'd go get them. She was very nice but underperformed her job. There was continuous noise and laughter coming from the kitchen. When the waitress came back around, I said can I ask you something? Are the cooks asleep back there in the kitchen? She said we only have 2 cooks on tonight....there were 20 people in the entire place, not busy AT ALL. Lamest excuse I've ever heard. The only employee that seemed to be working their hardest was the woman behind the bar. When our waitress brought over the bill, she put it on the table quickly and turned around and took off. They did not offer to take my family members sandwhich off the bill and ended up basically spending 50 bucks on mozzarella sticks. Worst place to go for night time...

Usually have absolutely no problems with this restaurant as its the only one around this around , but tonight was absolutely unacceptable . I had placed the original order around 7-7:30 pm and it was two desserts.It took a normal amount of time to be driven by the driver. The slip had the right name and order information but when opening the bag none of the contents were what we had ordered. When I called the restaurant I was spoken to by 3 people before (was very irritating when I could heard laughing stating "oh that's what happened by multiple people in the background" ) the I believe manager was put on the phone. As it is now 9:30 and I have yet to have anything being delivered and had to contact door dash personally to make sure the order was actually confirmed and being made as I’m not trying to have another persons order go to the wrong place and mine be completely MIA. I just believe this could have been avoided very simply by checking the door dash order bag before stapling a slip to the bag and tying it up. Door dash can not open these bags after they are given them so it is the employees jobs to make sure they are done correctly. Just very upsetting this has happened once before at this same location and the almost exact same situation happened. Please be aware of your packaging and labeling. Simple mistakes can be avoided by paying more attention to tasks at hand. To add to this I worked in the business for 2+ years and I’ve never had to witness this happening on multiple accounts. My family decided to choose this Applebees tonight for dinner. When we walked in we were seated within minutes however before that my friend and I over heard one of the hosts making rude comments about how big our party was. We had eight people in the party. 4 adults and 4 kids. We were seated then ordered drinks. We did not receive drinks for almost 25 minutes. We ordered food, our appetizer came out no problem however our meals we waited for almost an hour mind you we have 4 kids with us that were hungry. And then when our food finally comes they bring the adults their food first, and then the kids. One of my kids had to wait longer than the rest after waiting almost an hour and to top it off we were seated with no utensils. So we had to wait an extra 5 minutes after that for utensils. When those utensils were brought out steak knives were placed directly in front of and within reach of my 1year old niece, had her mom not grabbed those as quickly as she did we could have needed to make a trip to the emergency room.The sizzling plate was almost dumped all over my husband’s lap.All in all very bad and disappointing experience if you decide you want to go here with a larger party than I guess what people would call usual, don’t.
