Very regular customer, but they just sent me a loud and clear message they don’t want me back, so I won’t be.
I ordered online, went in, picked up the sandwiches, and tipped 10% in good faith. It wasn’t until I got home that I realized they gave me someone else’s sandwiches. Incredibly annoying, but this was just the beginning. I jumped in the car and headed back with the sandwiches. Tried to call them, and a man picked up, extremely rude, said “Please hold” and immediately put me on hold where I remained for over ten minutes. Finally picked up and I explained the situation, begged them to please just make the sandwiches I ordered and I’d be in in about ten minutes. This was enough time to make both my sandwiches the first time around. However when I arrived, I found they had not even started the replacement sandwiches. Told me it would be “a few minutes”, so I waited. And waited. And waited. Fifteen minutes went by and they didn’t say a word. No apology, no offering ANY kind of explanation or compensation for my time, money, and effort. Finally I walked up and told them I wanted my money back, which the guy gave me.
So this place threw away four large sandwiches tonight, possibly more if the customer they switched with also returned theirs. Not only that but, while I was sitting in the store waiting for the sandwiches that never arrived, I watched them give a completely different customer the wrong sandwiches and they had to chase him out into the parking lot. I was literally facepalming at the dysfunction of their kitchen staff. But what really got me was their total lack of any kind of accountability for mine or anyone else’s inconvenience. No apology of any sort, no offering of even partial compensation, and their complete comfort with watching a customer walk out empty handed after waiting an hour. Like I mentioned, they’re basically saying “We don’t need or want your business, we’ve got way too many...
Read moreAt this point I’m convinced this location could mess up a ham sandwich. I was a regular, I will not be any more. The past few orders have been a fiasco. My wife and I order sandwich’s weekly and typically get them delivered, the last few times I received the wrong orders completely. The first time I called when I received the wrong order, the gentlemen said “sorry we will remake them and get new ones too you.” No problem, it was a little annoying and took 2 hours to actually get my sandwich’s. But atleast they corrected it. The second time after waiting well over an hour for my order I called the store to see what was going on. They then told me the delivery driver brought it to the wrong house and he waited on the phone for me to say something. so after a minute I asked if they were sending new sandwich’s out and why didn’t anyone call me and let me know, where they continued to tell me that they don’t do the delivery, a 3rd party does their deliveries (because apparently I care who delivers my food that I paid and tipped for using the Dangelo’s site). Implying they weren’t giving us new sandwiches. So I repeated that I paid for delivery and my food which he said they would resend out. 3rd time we received the wrong orders completely again, unfortunately my wife was very hungry and this time took the sandwich’s back to the location to be remade. After waiting 15 minutes in the store they HANDED HER THE WRONG SANDWICHES. And again, had to remake them.
This time( which will likely be the final time) I ordered a steak a cheese sandwich with grilled onions, I received a steak and cheese sandwich, but with bacon and raw onions.
It’s a sandwich, with directions printed on a piece of paper. It seems like a very unorganized, incompetent sandwich shop. I’d hate to see what their walk-in looks like if front of house is that...
Read moreI haven't ordered from my local D'Angelo's in Woonsocket in a long time, just because it's always a problem ordering from here. My husband wanted sandwiches; so I thought who better to get sandwiches from than D'Angelo right?? Only problem is, they no longer have an app anymore, so I attempted first on my phone, for delivery, however when it was time to put my card in, I couldn't go any further to actually put my order in. So I go to grab my laptop, tried to do the same thing for delivery, except this time (less than 5 minutes later, mind you) it says no delivery times are available for tonight. Thanks D'Angelo's. What a joke. And the times you can actually get an order to go through, well, you have to wait at least an hour to get the food delivered, and it's usually wrong any way. I guess in order to get the sandwiches and in a timely manner, you have to go to the actual...
