Gold Star CupBop — Restaurant in Worcester

I so wanted to give this place at least four stars, but I can’t. I LOVE bibimbap and was so excited when I did a search near my new house and found a place. Based on the reviews, I decided to try it tonight. It’s not horrible, but I won’t be going back. Two big things made me give it two stars. One, there was NO kimchi. What kind of Korean restaurant doesn’t add kimchi to bibimbap?! Two, the gouchujang wasn’t that great. The spiciness was good, but the flavor was lacking. It didn’t have the umami flavor in it. Once I added some kimchi (that I thankfully had in the fridge), sweet chili sauce, and fish sauce (for the umami), it wasn’t too bad. I can get better bibimbap at the cafeteria at my work. I know they’re a good cafeteria, but they shouldn’t be as good as a restaurant...

I love Korean food!! In my book it's what food should be!! I am a lady who makes her own house kimchi!! This is a great little place to get some yummy Korean fare!! It's quick counter service and great for lunch!! The cup bops are very tasty, and my hubby and I always get a fried chicken to share. Very tasty!! Fresh veggies and great sauces and spicy pork bulgogi dishes are just so good!! Honestly, over the years, I have tried it all, and you can't go wrong here!! It's a great place to try if you want a good, safe, and not overwhelming entry point into Korean food!! A wonderful family operated business for sure!! I love...

I was ordering some food, and the cashier had no idea their own menu. I literally pointed to what I wanted on the wall. He still needed to ask another person what I wanted. Then when the price came up I questioned the amount because it seemed a little high. I asked him what he charged me because the sign had the price shown and it should be very close to that even with tax. He said he didn't know. I then started to do the math with him and he said he didn't know. I asked if he rang me up for something else, and he said he didn't know. By this point I thought forget it, this kid knows nothing.
