What a find!!! While at a dance convention my daughter was participating in, we drove by Piccolos and called for a reservation. The place from the drive-by looked small however it has a large back area for eating. Food was FABULOUS! I’ve eaten at some of the best Italian places in Boston and NYC and this hands down was a stand out. Salad was unbelievable - refreshing, light, tasty all at the same time. Olive oil to die for. My son had a crab meat topped haddock which was a King’s plate of food and only made us wish that we could eat every morsel. Gnocchi was tremendous over a fresh marinara sauce. Meatball could not have been better. Top this off which top notch service and this is a place you do not want to miss. I would gladly drive from Boston to Worcester just to eat here again and interact with the exceptionally welcoming and friendly staff and the...
Read moreFirst time here. Came here for restaurant week. Normally the menu consists of appetizers, entree and dessert. Here they offered soup, salad and entree.
The soup of the day was described by the waitress as "tomato base with macaroni." really? How did the waitress not know it was minestrone. It was ok.
The strawberry Caesar salad was fabulous. It had some type of strawberry vingarette/Caesar dressing. The croutons were homemade. The size was large.
The entree was sautéed chicken with banana peppers, spinach and feta cheese in an oil wine sauce. Kind of bland and way too many peppers.
The place was slow especially for a Friday night and the waitress was non existent most of the time. $2.25 for Ice tea and no free refills.
The decor was ok. The room was uneven and all the tables leaned to 1 side.
Nothing to write home about and not likely to return (except for maybe a take out...
Read moreSadly, no longer special.Just overpriced Our family has been going for years and tonight will be the last night. What food did come out was just ok, nothing special like it use to be. The flavor in the meals was missing and salmon meal was over cooked to the point of burnt. What was worse was the absolutely terrible service. It is one thing to be busy, but it is another to have terrible terrible service. Not even an apology for disappearing for 40 minutes after we were first sat, messed up the bread order and one of the meals. When asked when the missing meal will be out, she just said soon in a snappy voice. When asked for fresh pepper, she did not return and completely forgot. Never visited more than one table around us at a time the rare times we saw her. No visit from the manager. Then we were charged full price. In the end, flavorless food, terrible service and a...
