Tonight, we went to the 111 ChopHouse on Shrewsbury St in Worcester. This was a very delicious dinner. I would give 10 thumbs up!! ( if I had ten thumbs haha )
It’s the last night for Worcester’s Restaurant Week 2022 ! I’m glad my friend picked this restaurant.
I was a little nervous that we wouldn’t be able to eat here tonight until 9pm on , because it gets so busy. People started to line up at the door around 4:08pm to grab a seat. Heads up… Your best bet is to RSVP for this restaurant, if you want to eat here at a certain time without the wait time. Because it does get very busy! And for good reasons, it’s Delicious food and excellent service!
Tonight, we sat by the bar area, at the tables. We had two wonderful waitresses, Marene and Sarah. ( I’m prolly spelling her name wrong ) lol but they were great!
In the photos: I picked the Restaurant’s week’s special for myself:
THE BANG BANG SHRIMP LIGHTLY FRIED BABY SHRIMP WITH SWEET CHILI SAUCE AND CILANTRO MICRO GREENS. This taste will surprise you! Oh my, when you take that 1st bite…. YUM ! So delicious and crunchy! Its not a heated dish and it’s just a perfect taste that will you satisfied at the end. It’s a very delicious dish …. A must try when you come to this restaurant!! You will not regret. ( your taste buds will be doing the happy dance) lol
THE CAESAR SALAD is yummy regular choice!
Oh yes, the 10 OZ. PRIME CENTER CUT SIRLOIN PRESENTED WITH YUKON GOLD MASHED POTATO, TRUFFLE AND GARLIC MASCARPONE MUSHROOMS AND A SHALLOT BRANDY CREAM SAUCE! Yes, it’s is good as it sounds…. Your taste buds will be happy tasting this dish! By the time this dish came to me, I was kinda full, but I definitely had to eat some of it. ( I took the rest home for dinner tomorrow)
If you enjoy having a drink during your dinner or just come in for drinks…… This was also a delicious one: The White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle! Again, another great presentation! I loved the red raspberries that came with the drink. (My Tip is to keep stirring it so you can grab all that chocolate in your drink, from the bottom. )
My daughter has chosen an appetizer for her meal : The Teriyaki Beef Skewers/ Beef tenderloins tips with pineapple chille sauce was very tasty! We loved the French fries too. They were very thin and came out perfectly hot. ( we didn’t feel guilty eating them haha)
My friend had the North Atlantic Haddock. It definitely was a decent size fish with a great presentation for the eye. This tasted delicious and was perfectly cooked. The homemade tomato soup with little grilled cheese bites in it! ( delicious)
Of course, we had to have desserts!!!!! Flourless chocolate cake, 111 Chocolate Mousse and the Molton Chocolate Cake…. YUMMY and I love the presentations of all these dishes! Just look at the photos in this message.
This is definitely a restaurant you want to try if your into delicious food and excellent service. It maybe pricey but we’ll worth it!
I want to mention, how the waitress gives you new silverware with every new dish you are served. This is the 1st restaurant that have seen do this. I love that!!! 🙂
All the dishes came in great size portions, and you can actually take some home for another meal. ( if you don’t eat it all of course) you will leave this restaurant full and satisfied! Money well spent here! ❤ I love that type of place!
Remember when you go to restaurants, the waiters , waitresses and companies want to serve YOU !!!They want to make your visit the best it can be during that time. So, just speak up when you are the restaurant, if you are not happy with your dish or service. I’m sure they will make it right for you! Many businesses are struggling to stay alive since Covid and some are short staff… please try to have patience and work together for a happy ending. Happy Worcester’s Resturant...
Read moreWOW. WOW. WOW. Went here to take my step-father out for a birthday dinner and we were not disappointed. Came here on 12/17/21 @7:45pm with a Reservation @8. As I look at our bill our servers were Agatha/Sarah. I wish I got the managers name, he was wearing a blue plaid shirt.
We ordered Filet/Lobster and Ribeye, oysters and Truffle Fries. When our meals came out we were thrilled. As we were eating he had noticed that his steak was not cooked Medium like he asked, but instead close to Well-Done. The food was still so good we didn't even bother saying anything.
As we were eating, our waitress(the younger one) came over and noticed his steak was not cooked Medium. She approached us and apologized immediately. We were so impressed at how attentive she was. She asked if she could get us anything else and we declined nicely as everything tasted fine.
A few minutes later, the manager came over. I'm guessing she must of told him his steak wasn't cooked as he asked. The manager immediately took responsibility and apologized. He insisted on fixing the issue and asking to remake our meals for us. But we declined as we were a little pressed on time. I said I was perfectly content and happy with everything and that it wasn't a problem. He offered my step father a piece of prime rib on the house, and we decided to accept the kind offer. We were not disappointed.
The prime rib was amazing. It was cooked perfectly. He was beyond impressed. We finished our meals and we thanked the manager for fixing the mistake so quickly. He heard me say it was my step fathers birthday and he offered us two desserts on the house for the error as well. I picked a Creme Brûlée and he picked Cheesecake. We were beyond impressed
This is by far the best service we have ever reccived at any restaurant, ever. The fact that we had not said anything to begin with and the waitress(either Sarah or Agatha, young lady) had a good eye automatically was great. Although we didn't request a manager, she really did go above and beyond and told him what had happened. And the manager was absolutely wonderful. I mean really 10/10. When he offered to remake our meals we were so thankful, but we had explained we were pressed for time. So the fact that he offered prime rib and it came out perfectly was wonderful. Than to offer us desserts was just beyond kind.
If High End Management/Owner/CEO is reading this. Please thank your staff/management for us. This was really great. I hope you guys continue to handle situations like this because we had been talking for 20 minutes about how great of an experience this was. We will be back with multiple...
Read moreOk, I need to be fair. After 2 terrific dining experiences at Ruth's Chris in Worcester, I needed to return to my first love , 111 Chop House. My cohorts and I have been regulars for over 7 years, and quite honestly were getting a little complacent with our expectations. I now had a fresh perspective and needed to see if 111 was up to the comparison. Our servers were Nicolle and Michelle, and both were everything that you'd expect. Professional, accessible, knowledgeable, and entertaining. first class, all the way. Management came over to check on us, and stayed to chat for the correct amount of time. A quick hint to all managers, if the customers aren't asking questions or waiting too long for service, the quick stop by is perfect. Well done. Lets get to the food. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, so we were in a festive mood. Ordering some special drinks, for the wife a Flirtini and and Stateside Mule for me. Both were right on the money. We ordered a bottle of Cabernet (Jordan) and as always excellent. I would like to take a quick side bar to compliment 111 on their perfect wine list. Great selections, nice range in cost, and some real surprises for even the most discerning wine drinker. We started with some appetizers. I dove into the raw bar for some fresh shrimp and oysters. Shrimp was crisp and tasty and the oysters were succulent. My wife went for her favorite the Bang- Bang shrimp. I know she was pleased because she did not offer to share, and conversation was very limited until she was done. The salads and soups were perfect, not too much or too filling, giving us more "room" for our main course. My wife had the 12 oz. Filet mignon and I had the Grilled Black Pepper encrusted Sirloin. Both were prepared exactly as we ordered them, and were delicious. (we wrapped the remains for some scrumptious steak omelets in the morning) The meal was completed with cheesecake and crème brulee. The return visit was well worth it. 111 Chop House is every bit the steak house that Ruth's Chris's is. This is a compliment to both. We are very lucky in this area to have restaurants of this quality so close to each other. It should keep both of them...
