The one star is for the friendly service. I purchased 4 loaded potato skins and a Greek salad last night. The potato skins were dry and cold and had a rancid taste so bad I had to spit out my first bite. I have no clue if it was the skins or the sour cream but I didn’t care to find out. So all I had left was the Greek salad, all the fixings. Tasted alright at first but 5 minutes in I just couldn’t anymore, something was off. This brings me to my next point. 45 minutes after eating that salad, I became so deathly ill last night I didn’t think I was gonna make it through, continuous vomiting, stomach cramps, and you know what coming out the other end. All night, couldn’t hold anything down. I was terrified of A.) having to go to an emergency room in Worc on a Friday night in my condition, and B.) being poisoned with some kind of bacteria. All I could do was pray and hang on, by 4am the vomiting and everything else subsided but I still feel like I’ve been hit by a Mac truck. Idk know if it was cross contamination of some sort or what but that was nooooot fun. At all. Thank God I didn’t have to work the next day. My gf thought her bacon pizza was edible so charge that to the one star. The 41 bucks charged to my wallet doesn’t help either....
Read moreI ordered fried zucchini, clam chowder, calamari, chicken cutlet and a honey mustard chicken wrap. It was all disgusting. I live within walking distance of this place, the first thing I chose to eat was the calamari. It was room temperature, not even warm. I actually spit it out because it was so dry and impossible to chew. the zucchini was soggy and also not warm, the breeding was basically falling off. the clam chowder i didn’t even get to try because they didn’t bother to give me a spoon. the honey mustard wrap was something a child could have prepared better. it fell apart when you picked it up, really nothing special, lousy. and the chicken cutlet i wouldn’t even bother to taste it. I asked for onions and they just threw huge chunks of raw onion on top of it. I also asked for it toasted well and it ALSO wasn’t even warm. Basically everything they made had been sitting out for who knows how long and just thrown in a box. Not to mention this cost about $50, I complained and they came back to get the food. Then tried to deny me a refund literally AFTER taking the food back. Horrible way to run a business...
Read moreWhat a jerk! I have ordered many times from Pizza Works with my staff and the key is do "pick up" because delivery takes forever. However, the last time, my entire salad was completely wilted. I called them up and they said they would comp me a salad for the next time. We offered to bring the salad to show them how bad it was---clearly, nothing they would want to serve to the public. They said not to bring it, but they would give us a free salad with the next order as we have ordered from my office MANY times.
So, today is our next order and the owner's son, who is also an owner, would not honor their word. We even said "so you are not going to honor your word". They started telling us how many salads they serve a day and sometimes they get wilted. We again reminded them that they said they would comp the salad. He refused and just apologized. For a 9.00 salad? Really? What kind of business does that? My staff and I will NEVER order from this place again and I will make sure to tell everyone I know. In fact, this is probably the first review--be it a bad one--that I've ever bothered to get...
