Since there are hardly any Brown's Chicken restaurants left, I found one that was an hours drive round trip. I spent $83.21 for 20 chicken wings, 8 PC dinner which is supposed to include 4 biscuits & 1lb mushrooms. I didn't get any biscuits, the breading was falling off the wings, and the 8pcs of chicken and the breading was hard as a rock. When I pulled up to the window, the lady told me $21, I gave her $40 I told her that was awful cheap for what I ordered, instead of checking the ticket, she just rolled her eyes. She gave me the bag, and of course, it was the wrong order. I gave her the bag back.( good thing I checked before I drove 30 mins back home) to bad I didn't think to check for biscuits in my bag. Then when I finally got my correct order, it was like pulling teeth to get my total out of her. I worked in the food industry for 30 years, 18 yrs I was a waitress. I don't understand what the problem is with these fast food restaurants that they can never seem to get the orders correct, or make sure everything they are supposed to give you is in the bag. Their job is not hard. Of course I wasn't going to drive back a half hour for biscuits, but was disappointed since I eat them w my mashed and gravy. If your unhappy in your job or you don't like working with public, then get into another line of work. Next time i go there, i will go in to pick up my order and will check that all i paid for...
Read moreI went there originally a few weeks ago when I realized this location opened. By the time I got home to my 12 minute drive, I realized I was given white meat instead of the dark meat that I ordered. I was going to throw it out, but decided that was stupid so I called them and they replaced the meal but wasted a lot of time to go get the correct food. It actually was very greasy and I've had better at other Browns facilities. I decided to go back one more time because it was new and to be fair I would give them another chance. I ordered a turkey bowl the second time and the girl taking my order was very helpful; however the turkey was very dry and the dressing was just okay along with the potatoes. I didn't think it was worth the price I paid and could do better going elsewhere, at least getting the turkey. The first trip I had made was for chicken specifically and some sides. Their prices also have gotten a little high. It's tiny little side of coleslaw which is probably less than 1 cup was $3.99 which I thought was a little pricey for such a little serving. The location I visited was Crest Hill Illinois so I don't know how this ended up being shown...
Read moreBeen using this location for years, catering and also family meals. June 5, 2025, around 5 PM, prime dinner time, I ordered my usual: eight pieces of chicken, three large sides, 1 lb of mushrooms, and 1 lb of livers. This time it came to $81.55 (includes credit card fee). Mushrooms were the only item in the order that were properly prepared, golden brown. Some chicken pieces were missing large amounts of breading, and the exposed meat, which had no skin on it, was extremely overcooked. The livers were missing the majority of breading as if they were double-fried, although they were not overly dry. The tangy cole slaw had large strands of cabbage that were very soggy and lacked the usual crunch. The chunky cabbage pieces from before were gone. Am glad that it was not my idea to have chicken on this Monday but the fact of the matter is that the quality was no where near what was expected. This has been my go to location for years and perhaps it was just a bad day, but since it took 20 minutes, in heavy end of day traffic to get home from this location, it was not worth my time to go back and...
