Not a great experience as a first timer. I was picking up an order for someone. Location is horrible as far as parking. I noticed that most ppl parked in the Jewels parking lot, but only after I was leaving. I didn't realize that was a thing. Secondly, the store instructions that were given to me in the app said to go to "pick up counter". When I went inside the pickup counter was not clear as the only counter in the established spanned the entire unit and there were no visible signs on where to pick up and where to place an order. I had several associates look at me, or seemingly make eye contact with me but none of them asked me if I'd been helped or even acknowledged my present. After about 10-15mins, when I finally got the attention of a team member, who was calling out orders, I told her I was there for a pick up. She stated that I needed to go to the other end for a pick up. I found that insane and frustrating as everyone on the other end were in line to place orders, while everyone where I was standing was waiting for their orders. I'm not here to gripe about the establishments processes and protocols, I just want to suggest that order signs and pick signs be placed in proper areas, and that staff be a little more attentive. Read moreThis is the second time I have gone to this location in Palos and the front counter staff has been rude or ignored me when I come. Today as I came in and walked toward the counter looking at the menu no one acknowledged me. Two Caucasian customers came in one with a premade order and other another both after I came in. Once again the two Caucasian customers were greeted and address with how can I help you. I had to say something to the dark haired young lady who had a smug attitude. The older lady who appeared to be the shift manager at least acknowledged me after she heard my comments about being ignored. Then another customer with the pre order sounded off with a nasty comment about yelling a classic case of a Karen lying I simply told them the truth about their customer service in a respectful manner. The Karen jumped in again with insults. Unbelievable I own a business and have lived in this area for over 29 years and have never been treated so bad. I hope the behavior of the employees changes especially to minorities this is completely unacceptable as a guest in any public business. Read moreJohn is my special needs guy, he’s very particular about what he’ll eat, and when he finds something he will eat…. that’s ALL he will eat. He’s been eating Pop’s every day for a couple months now. A double cheeseburger plain and a small fry- the order never changes. If we don’t get him Pop’s, he doesn’t get mad or complain and he won’t ask for something else, he simply will not eat that day. Lord knows, Mama’s not letting her baby boy be hungry, so off to Pop’s we go. Every. Single. Day.
The employees all know us, but Lisa, she’s our girl. She goes the extra mile and she’s always smiling. She knows about John and why we are there- for the same order- every single day.
Anyway, when we were there today to pick up our double cheeseburger plain and small fry, Lisa put together a package for John. She wanted to make sure he had a meal to eat on Thanksgiving. She packed up all the supplies to cook his double cheeseburger and fries at home. The frozen patties, cheese, bun and fries. Everything he needs.
