Blown away by the staff at this location! My fiancée and I went in to eat a few weeks ago and were greeted by a staff that all had smiles on their faces and looked like they were having fun. I ordered the 6 piece and her a 3 piece, we filled our drinks and sat down. As soon as we sat down a worker brought our food, probably 90seconds from time of getting handed the receipt!
Chicken was phenomenal, love Caine’s as always. I feel like there’s a tad more breading/thicker batter than the North Riverside location I’ve frequented, and I find that to be a good thing!
Prices have increased, but what hasn’t I guess?
The most amazing thing was another two workers stopped by our table and asked if we needed anything else and how we were enjoying our food, and they did it with warm and genuine smiles on their faces. As my fiancée finished her meal first, yet another different worker came and took her tray and garbage for her!
Yesterday on 7/3, I went through the drive thru, and found it be quite efficiently set up, 2 lanes and they take your name, then as you progress forward, workers ferry drinks and bags from the windows to your car. Huge amounts of chicken and people getting in and out quickly.
One of the things about the Riverside location, is I hated taking the food to go home. The chicken breading would be soggy after a 15 min drive so a fresh eat was a must. I expected it to the same story here, but I said whatever, we wanted Caines but doggos are afraid of fireworks and someone needed to stay home, so we’ll get it to go and just deal with it. To my chagrin, the chicken took on no sogginess/ humidity! Absolutely perfect still! Not sure if it’s the more breading/thicker batter like I mentioned or they’re just cooking it at a better heat than the other location and the breading actually crisps up as it should, but they’re doing it right.
Love that this one opened up here since I work in Berwyn and would only do Caines on a slower weekday lunch, now we can hop over from home whenever there’s that hankering...
Read moreFood is pathetic at best and employees have attitude. The chicken is fatty per bite and fries are pale depressing and tasteless while limp and soft. The chicken here is bellow local standards such as Bouna which have excellent crispy fries and chicken with flavor.
I even allowed them to remake a failed order assuming night shift dropped the ball. The food was almost worse than the night order but hot.
These fries have less flavour than any fries you have had in your life. The chicken is breaded fatty pieces of chicken with weird shaping that does not look attractive. I ate 3 pieces of chicken all 100% fatty bites....when you prep chicken the white stuff is fat!!!! The fries were not evenly salted leaving top layer salt free and bottom heavily salted.
Another critical point corporate should consider the toast is not being toasted at all. The butter on bread tastes like fake spray canola or seed oil at best.
The use of Styrofoam containers is a poor choice as many consumers have long become health aware of its seepage into hot food items. They do add slots to allow air to escape to avoid soggy food however it increases the soggy as condensation builds. I live 5 minutes away from the place yet its soggy by the time I get home. The fact a corporation can not see that flaw based on common sense science. Logic would suggest the use of paper products and paper bag or box. This would solve the soggy food issue more so assuming its done correctly in first place.
Side note there was a parent I assume and his daughter behaving extremely inappropriate in line as I waited. The girl was clearly 10 at best yet the touching and body languages were severely off. If not for the girls age I would have assumed dating
Read more👋🏻 Hey fellow Google Mappers! ☺️ This was my first time at the Raising Cane’s location in Chicago Ridge. Me & my boyfriend went through the drive thru since the line was really short. The service was fast & the food was very delicious.
👥 Customer Service: The staff we interacted with were friendly. It only waited for a little bit and then our order was ready.
🍽️ Food/Drinks: I ordered my usual, the Caniac combo (No coleslaw and sub for a Texas toast) with a Sprite light ice. It was very delicious! Tip to customers: I highly recommend asking for light ask because at some locations, they will fill the big cup with ice and not so much of your drink. By the way, Cane’s ice hits different. I’m an ice lover and the ice is crunchy but also not too crunchy.
⭐️ Overall Experience: Overall, I always have a great first experience at the new location. I didn’t get the full experience since I went through the drive thru, but next time, I definitely gotta to order at the restaurant and enjoy the outdoor patio.
💌 I hope this review helps Raising Cane’s in the Chicago Ridge location, Raising Cane’s in general, & its current and future customers.
