Wyandotte Beer Company — Restaurant in Wyandotte

At one time, the only reason I didn't give it five stars, was because I stopped in to grab some dinner, and unfortunately for me, they only had light appetizer food. They now have quite a variety of food menu items. Not so much a dinner menu, but great items to eat while you're having a beer or two. I hereby upgrade my review to five stars. We really enjoy the atmosphere. When you walk in the door, they have several shelves of sit down board games. Battleship, Life, Scrabble, games like that. They are really trying to induce a social atmosphere for their guests. Even going so far as to not having TVs at their establishment, for the same reason, to prevent people from getting brainwashed into staring at the TV instead of socially interacting. They also have a video game machine, and it is loaded with a TON of old retro video games (over 900 games, all FREE TO PLAY). The staff is very social and very attentive. If you're looking for a place to go with friends to grab some beers and hang out, this is the place to go. It is quite the local watering hole location. The first few times I was in here, I absolutely loved this place. They had this maple beer which was awesome! But then they quit making it, which was disappointing. I asked if and when they were bringing it back, and they said maybe in the fall. That never happend though. They also had this lemmon shandy beer that I really liked. It was a little sour but not overbearing, with a great texture. They don't have that anymore either though. They also had this raspberry beer that wasn't bad. They got rid of that one too I believe.

I've yet to try their food. By looking at their menu, it all looked quite good.

They've got nice vibes in here also. There are various board games that you can play in here, which is neat. The service is friendly too.

As much as I want a brewery in the downriver area, I don't think I can support this place any longer. In fact this is my third update to my review since they're opening. The staff just has an attitude problem, all the time. I never get a welcoming feel, they are not polite, never see a smile. I feel as if I am bothering them asking for a beer. God forbid ask them for a taste. If you do ask, you will most likely be met with an eye roll and sigh.
