We had a pretty solid experience at Teriyaki Special. We went during lunch time and everything is made to order. We went through the drive through. They also had hard copies of the menus if you drive up. We got take out. The dude at the window was super cool and helped us out with some menu choices. They have a lots of drinks and prices are pretty affordable. We ordered through the drive through. After we ordered, we pulled up to a parking spot while we patiently waited for our food. We got the food delivered to our car.
I got the two items with chicken katsu, teriyaki chicken, stir fried noodles, and mixed vegetables. My woman got the one item with Teriyaki pork and fried rice.
The food came out piping hot and delicious. We got three different sauces with our orders. All super tasty. I would definitely recommend coming to teriyaki special for...
Read moreLet's start with the good. The food was freshly made to order, and everything tasted good. I have one daughter who's a vegetarian, and they have a couple of tofu entrée options. Also, the prices weren't too bad for the amount of food you get. The bad... they weren't overly busy, but the food took quite a while. We got it to go, and unfortunately, we didn't check our meals before we left. 2 of our 4 orders were wrong. I had ordered a 2 entrée plate with steamed rice and mixed veggies, and all our meals had fried rice, and none had mixed veggies. Another meal was supposed to be a 2 entrée plate, and we only got one entrée. By the time we got home to eat and realized this, it wasn't worth trying to go back to have it corrected. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident, but if we go back, I will definitely check our meals...
Read moreLooks great inside, very clean, fast and great service, but the most important aspect of a restaurant is the food. I’d have to rate the flavor of food a 5/10. Its nothing amazing but it’s also not the worst thing in the world. The chicken bites were the best item I ordered off the menu. A beautiful crunchy batter thats flavored with their sweet chili. However, the rest of the food was very lacking. They have an interesting take on Katsu by putting cheese in the middle but it’s lacking flavor and its a bit dry. Noodles just had salt and oil for flavor. And the Teriyaki chicken had little to no teriyaki flavor. Kinda just salt. On a good note, the prices hold up to many of the competing restaurants around. If this restaurant can just work on their flavors, it will definitely be one of the best, if not THE BEST restaurant...
