We had a pretty solid experience at Teriyaki Special. We went during lunch time and everything is made to order. We went through the drive through. They also had hard copies of the menus if you drive up. We got take out. The dude at the window was super cool and helped us out with some menu choices. They have a lots of drinks and prices are pretty affordable. We ordered through the drive through. After we ordered, we pulled up to a parking spot while we patiently waited for our food. We got the food delivered to our car.

I got the two items with chicken katsu, teriyaki chicken, stir fried noodles, and mixed vegetables. My woman got the one item with Teriyaki pork and fried rice.

The food came out piping hot and delicious. We got three different sauces with our orders. All super tasty. I would definitely recommend coming to teriyaki special for...

Let's start with the good. The food was freshly made to order, and everything tasted good. I have one daughter who's a vegetarian, and they have a couple of tofu entrée options. Also, the prices weren't too bad for the amount of food you get. The bad... they weren't overly busy, but the food took quite a while. We got it to go, and unfortunately, we didn't check our meals before we left. 2 of our 4 orders were wrong. I had ordered a 2 entrée plate with steamed rice and mixed veggies, and all our meals had fried rice, and none had mixed veggies. Another meal was supposed to be a 2 entrée plate, and we only got one entrée. By the time we got home to eat and realized this, it wasn't worth trying to go back to have it corrected. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident, but if we go back, I will definitely check our meals...

Looks great inside, very clean, fast and great service, but the most important aspect of a restaurant is the food. I’d have to rate the flavor of food a 5/10. Its nothing amazing but it’s also not the worst thing in the world. The chicken bites were the best item I ordered off the menu. A beautiful crunchy batter thats flavored with their sweet chili. However, the rest of the food was very lacking. They have an interesting take on Katsu by putting cheese in the middle but it’s lacking flavor and its a bit dry. Noodles just had salt and oil for flavor. And the Teriyaki chicken had little to no teriyaki flavor. Kinda just salt. On a good note, the prices hold up to many of the competing restaurants around. If this restaurant can just work on their flavors, it will definitely be one of the best, if not THE BEST restaurant...

Let's start with the positives... new location, very clean, very friendly, caring and polite owners. The menu is simple yet offers different options. The teriyaki sauce is delicious! Food is made to order, which is fantastic, so please be patient. The teriyaki chicken is by far the best. Full of flavor and juicy. Some areas for improvement,... the meat portions are small but now adays all meat is expensive. So I can't fault them for being watchful of that. They currently don't have a soda fountain so all your drinks are bottle. Who knows, maybe down the road that may change,.. let's stay optimistic. 😉 Come support and have your own personal experience.

Order at the counter fairly new Asian restaurant. Ordering is very simple with a somewhat limited menu. Restaurant was very clean and in good repair. Service was friendly and fast. Teriyaki beef was very flavored but also very tough. Fried rice was good. Noodles were okay but needed sauce to help them. Prices are on the high side for the quality of the meal. My dine in food is provided in a compartmentalized plastic container. The small compartments make it hard to eat the different items. Serving on a plate would make it much easier to eat with the plastic forks. Overall my lunch was okay, but not good enough to warrant going back.

Great teriyaki, chicken AND beef! Everything is made to order. Totally worth the wait, and the wait wasn't long either. The restaurant was clean and the staff is friendly. We got to meet one of the owners, and he was very down to earth. They do have a drive-thru option. Which can be found following the signs to around the back of the building. The only downside is that it's a little hidden. However, the sign is well lit, can be seen from the street and says "Teriyaki Special!" And boy is it special. Definitely a must try and we will definitely be back!
