I didn't like it. I had the whole fish fried catfish plate. The cashier said it only came with French Fries. It looked ok.
Who doesn't put hush-puppies on a catfish plate? I had to pay extra to get hush-puppies. I guess I can see why. They really weren't too good. The management probably just aren't very proud of them and don't want everyone to taste them.
The catfish was bland. I've never had catfish with so little seasoning before this. And no tartar sauce? I would have asked for it like I did the hush-puppies... There was a sort of horseradish sauce (I think). It just didn't have any horseradish in it.
The French Fries were ok. Probably the best of any of it, but that's not to brag on them. They were just normal and so outshined the rest. But come on! No ketchup to be found anywhere. They gave a little (little little) cup with none on the table in the condiment basket. And didn't see any ANYWHERE.
Don't know what the cup of ranch dressing was for, but I'm sure some would appreciate it. Ranch fish? Ranch hush-puppies? Probably some eat it with their fries, but I really think ketchup would have been the way to go with that.
Let's not forget the frozen Margarita. On second thought, let's do forget the frozen Margarita. It was the worst I...
Read moreI am an essential worker at a local nursing facility. I came into this establishment right before my shift today to pick up the lunch special because I was really hungry and in the mood for a little fish. The girl at the counter would NOT sell me the lunch special because I came in about 20 minutes after the time they have posted. She wanted to charge me $2 extra for the same food and the same amount of food just because it was 20 minutes later. I even told her that I was on my way to work. I hadn't eaten all day. I just don't understand what's going on. A lot of these places who say they support those of us working on the front line, actually DO NOT. Don't they understand that when a person works a 12 hour shift, their breakfast, lunch or dinner time may not be the same as someone else''s. I mean, why not make the special for the whole day so that everyone can eat and feel special? I felt so disgusted. I just walked out trying to understand why this pandemic is taking the good people's businesses away from them, but making other businesses just heartless and greedy and uncaring. I won't go to this place ever again, even after a...
Read moreWe tried fish n tails tonight for the first time due to the reviews being so good. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. Firstly, the price was high for the quality of these items. I don’t mind paying a steep price for quality ingredients and great food but this was not it. I had blackened cod. Which was extremely over cooked and completed bland. The fish retained a ton of water from being previously frozen and lacked in so many ways. The fries it came with were frozen steak fries barely warm. The sauces (tartar, cocktail, ranch) had sat long enough to have skin coating on the top. My wife had the shrimp po-boy. This was also appalling. Under seasoned coating on the shrimp which were heavily overcooked rubber. Not a fresh flavorful shrimp bite as it should be. The dry toasted basic bread on this po-boy added to the overall blandness. Again, served with warm frozen fries. Not enjoyably prepared seafood. 2 fountain drinks were $5.90. Our fried pickle starter was ok but again the breading was so bland. But that could be forgiven if the seafood had at least been well prepared. We won’t be going back to...
