Update: i wanted to add at the top of this review…the food was hot, came out quickly, and the quality is definitely there. As far as the customer service, I have received an apology from the general manager. That meant a lot to me! An apology goes a long way and am glad that McAlisters cares. Thank you for righting your wrong. I hadn’t been to McAlister’s Wylie location in a long time. Prices had increased for the kids menu (in this economy I can understand!) it was more expensive, but it’s thanksgiving break and I wanted a treat for my kids. Afterwards, I asked for clarification on cost of sides. A lady working behind the counter heard me ask the cashier and she made fun of me saying “oh le dolió” (Spanish for “oh it hurt” and she was referring to that the cost hurt) Everyone laughed. I do not look like I should speak Spanish, but it happens to be my first language. It hurt and I was completely taken aback. I did respond with “oh was she referring to if it hurt the cost of sides?? Because, yes, I brought my little children here and did not even order for myself. On top of that I was just asking for the future reference so I could budget for my kids treat.” Nobody apologized and actually replied with “listen lady I don’t eat here, I don’t know the prices, I just work here” I literally cried once I sat at the table with my kids. I have always appreciated and loved that McAllister made kids meals accessible and never expected to be mocked. I hope this is taken seriously, because nobody deserves to be ridiculed. My family has been through a lot, and this was just the cherry on top and I literally cried once at the table. The food was fine, and didn’t take long. If you’re still reading this and care, thank you. Have a great day.

We've been here 2 times. First time: wonderful. Great food, great service, quick, really good experience. Second time, 2 weeks later: where is the sandwich I had the first time? No more Turkey Cobb? No employee had a clue as to whether they had it now or not (again, only 2 weeks later). It's not on the Menu Board but it is in the register so after much back-and-forth among employees I was told they could still make it for me even though it was no longer on the Menu Board (even though NO ONE could actually confirm it). So, my Turkey Cobb came out and....it had ham (and no turkey). Turkey Cobb=Ham? My fault for agreeing to have them make a sandwich no longer on their menu 2 weeks later; but ham on a turkey cobb? And the 1/2 salad I got was about 1/10 the size of the 1/2 salad I had the first time (not literally, but it was significantly smaller than our first visit--it only filled about 1/2 the small bowl they served it in where last time it was to the top). We tried to order from the app (using both the apple and android app) but were completely unsuccessful in ordering from either version; the app is terrible. We tried to look at their menu on a website. You guessed it: "error 500" message TELLING US TO DOWNLOAD THEIR APP--which we had proven was terrible and after 10 minutes of trying we couldn't do it (and we know how to use and order from apps). So, 5 stars for the first visit, but -3 for the 2nd visit. I don't think it's JUST this location--the franchise seems to change their menu frequently (so don't get used to a favorite you may have had on your last visit!) but this location should inform their employees when that happens and know that a Turkey Cobb doesn't have ham. AND FIX THE APPS!

Was one of the first in line at the pre-opening where they served a free meal from 1030am-2pm. The managers were nice and accommodating. Be patient with the girls behind registers since they're still being trained. I ordered the BLT+A per mgr suggestion, and you can choose a side (e.g. mac & cheese, fruit, kettle chips, etc.). Can't go wrong with a sandwich. It tasted great, had over 4 slices of bacon, but about 2 slices of avocado only. For drinks, they have tea and lemonade and you can add a fruit puree. If you do that, I suggest not using a sweet tea base. Gets too sweet after that. Great addition to the Wylie community, and when it gets less busy a nice place to study at. Wi-Fi is fast. 🙂

I wanted to try the new McAlister’s Restaurant, and I was very surprised and impressed to find that McAlister’s Management Staff, had moved Austyn Beach, who is one of their best and newest and aspiring managers to this new location. I frequently travel around the metroplex with work and often dine at McAlister’s, due to the fact that it continues to offer some of the best deli faires,in the entire metroplex. Their food is always superb, their restaurants are clean, but the friendliness and helpfulness of their staff, especially that which is offered by their manager, Austyn Beach, is what truly makes an individual feel like they are welcome and appreciated by the staff and management, at this restaurant. I highly recommend this new restaurant and dining experience! Congratulations again to the Management Staff at both McAlister’s and the Saxton Group, for the successful launch of a new restaurant and for hiring some of the best people in the industry! Austyn and his staff have done...
