Zaytoon Kabob Grill — Restaurant in Wyomissing

Absolutely blown away by this place — hands down the best Afghan food I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried a lot. This place completely redefines what great Middle Eastern and South Asian cuisine should taste like. I had the lamb platter with rice, topped with their white and hot sauce, and I was genuinely speechless. The lamb was perfectly tender, juicy, and full of flavor — every bite melted in my mouth. The rice was aromatic and cooked to perfection, fluffy and flavorful on its own, but elevated even more by the sauces.

To say it’s “better than Halal Guys” doesn’t even do it justice — this is way beyond, even compared to the original Halal Guys in NYC. It’s on a whole different level. There is nothing else like it around here, which makes this place a true gem. If you’re anywhere in the area, do yourself a favor and go. Scratch that — make a trip just for this. It's that worth it.

Delicious Afghan/Middle Eastern food has been LONG overdue in Wyomissing. Zaytoon was an amazing experience!! Their Qaimaq/Pink Chai was a nice pick-me-up, especially for chilly days.

Customer service was an absolute 10/10. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. I love supporting small, family-owned businesses like this, especially when customer service is their number one priority.

The kabobs were perfectly grilled, juicy, and packed with flavor. Each bite of the tender meat melts in your mouth, and the seasoning was spot-on. The rice was the perfect complement to the kabobs. It was fluffy and aromatic. Every dish we tried (we also had the bolani and mantu which are like fried/steamed dumplings) was full of vibrant flavors and fresh ingredients. The portions were generous, and each dish felt authentic and well-prepared. It’s clear they put a lot of love into their food, making it an unforgettable meal. I can’t wait...

Zaytoon Kabob and Grill has been a delicious addition to the area. I heard about Zaytoon after following them on social media, and I love the fact that everything is HALAL! The food looked scrumptious, and they had my attention.

I recently went there with a group and we absolutely loved it. The ambiance is just perfect, and I loved the colors and decor of the place. We ordered a variety of food and were lucky enough to get the last of the Mantu and Bolani - let me tell, they were so tasty, I understood why they ran out.

We ordered a mixed family platter, and the chicken, beef, lamb, with kabuli palow rice, everything was flavorful. We ordered the Qaimaq Chai Pot, and wow, it was the perfect blend of sweetness with a touch of spice.
