My brother and I took our 72 year old mother out for her birthday along with, in total, 12 members of our family to the Wyommissing area restaurant . They had a seating area ready for us within 10 minutes as I had called ahead and everything seemed pretty good and normal. We were splitting the check five different ways and they seem to understand that. The trouble started when one person in our family received the wrong entrée when they brought them out so they took it back, but everyone else had their food and was eating and by the time she got her entree was a half an hour later and everyone else was done and she was just starting to eat. After we were done another waitress, not the waiter we originally ordered with, came out and took our orders for desserts - not all of us got desserts, and I mentioned that we had separate checks and to make sure that it went on the right checks and she said “OK they’ll figure it out”. Well, apparently they did not figure it out- when we were ready to leave, our checks were a mess and they scrambled to try and figure them out. It was about a half an hour until we decided to get involved and we sat with two of the wait staff to tell them exactly who was paying for what items. Another half an hour went by. We still didn’t have any checks —we wanted to leave. My cousin had an entrée for her husband who was not present and he was going to bed very shortly as it was now around 8:30 at night. We had arrived there at 5:00 PM. Different people had our credit cards and we’re walking off randomly throughout the restaurant with them! A dark haired waitress with glasses, took my credit card and went over to the computer and said it’s freezing now and just walked away and into the kitchen with my credit card. It was only after asking for management that the store manager came out and was very apologetic, but didn’t even offer to take anything off of anyone’s bill for waiting over an hour and we were still all there waiting to pay for our food. The food was terrific. It was very delicious, but I will not be going back to this establishment because of the way we were treated. They missed out on a very large tip, which is a shame, but the wait staff and the managers had no idea how to handle this situation...
Read moreSo this was a impromptu date night for my wife and I. We were greeted with a smile, waited about 15-20 mins maybe for our table which was perfectly fine, they told us upfront. Our waitress Mary was awesome , but management is lacking and so is their cleanliness. I had to use the bathroom and couldnt because one had feces all over it and the other was clogged with tolietpaper at the very least. Now I tried to use the restroom upon arrival and found the frces onnthe toilet, waited figuring they would.clean it at some point after j was done earing which was maybe an hour, hour and a half since I arrived. Nope it was still there, I mean wouldnt you have someone check the bathrooms throughout the day? Do you think the manager who was floating around even t pi touched my table to see how things are ? Nope! Every table bit mine and some tables he went back a couple times. He even touched a table and that customer left and he touched it with the new customer. I even looked at him, thinking maybe he would come over. I mean I did have to track him down to let him know that his bathroom was disgusting! Maybe he didnt wanna talk me, not like I was rude or anything. I just told him her your bathroom needs serious attention asap. Also saw a member of the kitchen staff with a uncovered beard, had his hair net and gloves on touch his face all ober.. scratch his head several times pick something up off the floor and go back the the kitchen. My food wasnt the greatest, but not shocked as olive garden in general as gone down hill over the years. Overcooked pasta, lack of pasta, lack of cheese that was sopposed to be on it.. tho the alfredo sauce that we ordered for the side for our breadsticks was good, usually it tastes like it's from a jar. Overall the only highlight was our waitress who was given probably the worst section( right in front of the door) poor girl was probably cold but couldnt tell as she always...
Read moreI went here with my girlfriend for dinner. It was a little busy but there was no line. Despite this when I walked in and talked to the host he asked me to just hold on. I sat down to wait and someone else came over to seat me. We were never properly welcomed and never asked our party size.
After being seated we were told our server would be right with us. It took the server 20 minutes to get to us. We placed both our drink and food orders and she said she would be right back with the drinks. It was another 10 minutes until she came back with our drinks and our soup and salad. She still had not yet brought breadsticks.
A while later she brought out our entrees and breadsticks and it was as best as could be expected. We had ordered the never ending stuffed pasta so she took our request for our second plates a few minutes after the first. While I am used to receiving a smaller plate for the second plate, I was extremely disappointed when my second plate consisted of 7 rigatoni, barely more than two bites for me. At this point my drink had also been empty and was not refilled. Had I known I was not going to get another drink I would have just ordered a water.
We ordered our third plate which came out with 2 stuffed shells each, then we asked for a box to take this home. After receiving our boxes (again several minutes later) we needed to ASK for the check. Once we had the check it was another 10-15 minutes until she came back to receive our payment. At this point I had already decided how much I was going to give her and handed her cash so I could just leave. On the way out my girlfriend asked another server for a bag as we were not brought one with the boxes.
Our entire time there was nearly an hour and a half. The price was okay for what we got but I'm still disappointed in the level of service we received and the portion sizes of the never...
